Why is blood favor a hex
Like I dont get it it blocks pallets within 16m of you for 15s upon a basic attackand it has a cool down in the speed burst they get you can go 20m just by holding forward not to mention it's a hex like this perk is worse than cruel limits it can be destroyed and has no effect can its range be increased to 24m and lose the cool down or keep the cooldown and make the pallets be blocked for 30s like this perk is almost as useful as monstersious shrine and it's a hex
Know what I'm gonna re do the perk right here
Hex blood favor a hex that gains the entiteys favor when blood is spilt
When a surivor is bit by a basic they will be cursed with blood favor pallets within 8m of the marked surivor will be blocked this effect will last for 20s
Blood favor has a 40s cooldown
Wow who would of guessed 3 simple changes could make a useless perk that's called a hex a real threat
Edit if that's too strong then the mark can be applied to the killer allowing a survivor to pre drop the pallet if they wish at the cost of it of it being gone instantly and the effect will last 23s because of the 3s weapon hit animation

It's dumb it's a Hex it's already limited by range a cool down but I guess the devs were scared it'd be too strong.

Of course they were hesitant. It’s designed to take away one of survivors few defences in a chase.
It’ll probably be buffed in the future, but I can appreciate why they were being extra careful with a pallet blocking perk.

A little to careful.

I'm excited to see the buff in 2024 😧

Because the killer is cursed. All those pallets that would've been dropped in panic by survivors after a successful hit will now be blocked, so they can't waste them

it would be interesting if maybe it destroyed pallets within that 8m range instead of blocking them. idk something that isn't so situational would be better than what it currently is.

It would have to be dropped patterns then because that would easily make it the best chase perk in the game imagine you get hit at shack and boom god pallet gone

Blood favor is a hex because blight came with undying and they needed another hex perk to show undyings power so they made blood favor

I get that and I get that they were cautious with it but after 3 months of seeing it everyone call it useless why not make small adjustments to it and it's not like nobody was interested in it at the time on release or even a few weeks after

Yea but blood favor has a requirement a cool down and they can just run away because of the speed boost
0 -
Yea I'm glad to see that they didn't over tune it but after when everyone was calling it useless and everyone forgot about it wonder why they didn't try to adjust it to be useful not even viable just useful I think I saw 1 person get blood favor value when it came out

Devs gotta be real careful with releasing perks that they later deem too strong in their eyes. I prefer the, release weak perk then buff it later vs. the release strong perk then nerf it later design they have.

Yea same but its about to be 7 or 8 months now

Why is Blood Favour a hex? Bc Undying is purely a Hex support perk.
Undying needs another hex to be fully effective, so they gave Blight a weak one. People going for adept Blight would be screwed if he only had Undying as hex perk.

Then why not make it useful because your running one perk at that point

How would you feel if the perk was like this
When a survivor is hit, all pallets within a radius of 48 meters of your location are held in place by the entity for 20/25/30 seconds and cannot be pulled down. See the auras of blocked pallets.

I didn't say it needed to be useless, just that they made it weak. XD
You have to remember that devs create whole characters at a time, with the theme and general balance as constraints for their toolkits. The balance seems to be around the toolkit, which gives them design room to develop strong and weak perks. The last time we saw a killer with really strong perks was Plague, and to this day she is the first purchase recommended by the community. Sometimes they are also very conservative, see PH's perks that required changes shortly after his release to become relevant.
I don't think they want to repeat either of those scenarios.

I have an idea for a Hex:Blood Favor rework
So if the killer hits the survivors with their basic attack they will be cursed for 30 seconds. During that time they are prevented from throwing down any an all pallets. It loses the unessacary cooldown.

I mean that's ok it useful and better than it used to be maybe 30s is too long but at least its useful maybe even viable
0 -
So what I said
0 -
Really I must not have read it well. I thought you just changed the numbers. If our ideas are the same then I can agree with the change.

Yea I kept the cool down made it 8m but it's like dark devotion it follows the hit player for 20s blocking pallets that they get near and if that was too op it would block pallets within 10m of the killer and last 23s for the 3s whipe animation
1 -
I think that would make it really good
