Please, please, PLEASE be nice! The devs are taking a leap of faith here.
I’ve read so much begging from this community for the devs to be more transparent.
They finally decided to test (emphasis on TEST) the good will of this community by revealing a WORK IN PROGRESS/INITIAL IDEA on what they MIGHT do with OoO.
THIS! INITIAL! CONCEPT! MAY! YET! CHANGE!
Some of us have been here long enough to have remembered some past backlash with the communities selective way of remembering how the devs have presented up and coming possible concepts.
So please.
Just be nice, civil, and patient.
Don’t screw this up by being jerks if something changes, or takes longer than what was initially presented.
Otherwise, exactly as they’ve stated, they’ll never EVER do it again.
And any further requests for transparency will fall on deaf ears, forever ignored.

The only feedback I have to give the devs here is that I think the numbers should be flipped to have your aura revealed to the killer every 30/35/40 seconds instead of the other way around as it was presented. Other than that, it looks really good!

Why would you want less information on the killer as you go up in perk tiers?
Remember, the idea of the new concept is that any time YOUR aura is revealed, the killers aura is revealed to you as well.

We just need to give the transparency too. Not just”I don’t like the new hud” tell them why and how to improve it. Same with object”it’s good but if we do X it could be better”
We need to be clear what we want and don’t want without being mean about it

Yeah, I’m posting this though because this community has a history of “YOU PROMISED”, followed with lots of abuse hurled at the devs, when nothing was promised at all.

For what I've seen its mostly been appraisal and constructive criticism there are your few trolls and newbs but other than that it's been legit questions

I’d love to give the majority of this community the benefit of doubt, but I’ll give an example what we’re likely to expect.
So talking about DS rather than OoO for this example, they made it repeatedly clear that the upcoming adjustments will drop next chapter, not next week in the mid chapter.
Guess what’s gonna happen next week though?
Internet will be flooded with “Where are the DS changes?! I thought they said they were changing DS?! (Insert nasty words about the devs)”
I hope I’m wrong. But there’s a vile pattern of behaviour with a lot on these forums.

Its really good that they are willing to do this. Dbd's community isn't the nicest alot of the time and I can only imagine what it must like to deal with the insults and abuse that gets thrown at them. If people can at the very least be mature and civil about it, this can be a big step into helping the game improve

True, the fact that they opened up to us shows they are willing to change for the better. I really think that if everyone encourages them to keep doing this the game will receive many more good changes.

You said to me a couple days ago 'can you read.' I'll be civil though. I do want to see this game achieve proper balance.
EDIT: I also find it uncanny how privileged you feel about BHVR introducing a change based on community request. It's your money they want. You have the power as the consumer. They should be shining your shoes. Take a look at the osrs community. One day of BHVR and there would be riots in falador for a week and reeeing on reddit. This is what the community should expect and nothing less.

Aside what they said about having enough faith in the community to reveal in advance a concept for reworking a perk, I think, in general, that arguments, not personal insults against the Devs, are the best tool to be heard and contribute to a fair, enjoyable and smooth game for all players.

This is a very possible thing hopefully the bigger streamers they watch ex Scot king paulie otz make it clear that this wont be coming this update and ooo may not even make it to the next one

If Tier 3 has the auras revealed every 30 seconds, I would think that'd you see where the killer is more often, thus having more information.

I thought they've done this before but to be honest if they keep doing this everyone would adjust easier. Yeah we're going to have those people who are like "pls dont nerf will kill game" but those people should 100% be ignored overall. Pretty sure the community as a majority and BHVR don't like reading that #########.
So far I've seen pretty civil discussion but going to admit I don't include the Steam Discussions. That place always has been and always will be a cesspool no matter what game it's about. Steam is too lax on what you can do on the forums so it remains garbage where people feel that since they're only banned from one board they can just jump to another and do the same thing without realizing why they were banned in the first place.
I'm all for BHVR revealing indev stuff more frequently much more earlier it leads to healthy conversation. However that includes if they decide against it or change plans they need to communicate it and no confusion would be had. The people that keep calling them names should just be banned no questions asked. Like I'll heavily criticize BHVR a lot of the time but I don't throw out petty personal attacks.
Regarding the perk itself - I feel the timer should stay the same within all tiers and what should scale is the range so it can be combo'd with Sole Survivor.

I'd like to see these changes go live. I think the perks still hold their intent while removing a number of reasons that made them miserable to face.
