Should DS get buffed in other ways to compensate?
Since DS is getting reduced to being an anti-tunnel perk instead of a "I can do whatever, I got DS+UB Killer can´t do anything about me doing the gen" perk, maybe it could be buffed in this regard.
For example, the stun duration could be increased by 1 second (which translates to at least 7 seconds additional chase time) or the timer could be increased by a couple seconds.
What do you think?

Remove the skill check or the killer could see no scratch marks after you stunned him for a few seconds.

No. It will be still very strong but much less toxic and more healthy.

It was never about the 5s stun. It is about, that approx. 2 people in EVERY game have it equipped and that you get 5s + an finite amount of time in a chase, depending of how good you are at looping. Time is the most important good for a killer.
Now, you can't just play as recless as before, because it can be deactivated before the timer runs out. That is a good thing and if you can't play with the new one or without ds at all, you maybe should get better at looping in the first place.

Exactly that, the problem is not the stun, it's the 4th hook for that survivor.

It totally could be. It could have the timer doubled, or even tripled!
No, seriously, what is someone going to do with 3 minutes of invincibility if they can't do gens, totems, saves, heals, etc? Run around BMing you? Sure, that's annoying, but... they aren't really doing anything...

I want someone to run around behind me throwing pebbles to try and screw my chases. I will 100% take that.

Possibly but not now. We need to test the new version first before we start slapping buff onto it. It might not need it at all.

Yes, it should no longer spawn an Obsession at the start of the Trial.
The games without the Obsession are pain.

actually if this getting buffed. i would say something to prevent killer hit u and slugging u until timer off. so i would like if you got slugged the timer will pause. this slug things making me never use DS anymore

That would be way too strong. Also, being slugged doesn´t cost you a hook state. You can either pick yourself up with SB or UB or be picked up by a teammate.

usually in sea they will slug you and patrol around you waiting until 60s passed or hitting anyone come near making ds useless even with ub.

Well that´s of course an option Killers have. An option that costs them 3 gens for 1 hook state.

yeah since i play solo survivor usually 2-3 other surv will try to heal you but instead killer got free hit and downed you at the moment you're up. it sucks thats why i run other build usually i changed ub and ds to prove thyself and iron will. help me got pip more than ds ub combo

Yeah, that would be an option. I was for the timer being paused while running or while being slugged, but doubling or trippling would be good as well.
The biggest problem I have with DS (even the current version) is that if I get tunneled off Hook and run around the Killer for one minute, I dont have my DS anymore, despite clearly being tunneled. The only "counter" to this is to jump into a Locker and hope that the Killer grabs me out.
And while chases are the most fun part of the game, I would prefer to do other stuff as well, because just being tunneled all game will result in around 10k BPs only and a Depip, most likely.
However, with 2 minutes, the Survivor will most likely still have DS to either get to use it or make the Killer respect it via slugging, OR, if the Killer takes 2 minutes to catch them, there should be enough Gens done at this point (I cannot highlight the "should" enough, I have seen things the past couple of weeks...).
The only problem with either way (either increase of the timer or pausing it in specific situations) would be the Endgame.

I was thinking the activation timer would be paused while in a chase or dying to avoid loopholes. This would make DS perfect because the perk wouldn't be abused and when it does come in handy, it can't be counterplayed unless the killer drops you and goes after someone else.

Eh, it's a tricky one.
An infinite (or much longer) DS definitely allows for some serious shenanigans end-game.

yep when you got slugged before the timer killer know he messed up. either he took it and got dsed or let other people heal the dying survivor. this way make it fair since survivor cant do any objectives if they want their DS still active

How exactly? Anything and everything you do deactivates the timer.

But there's nothing to do in endgame, that's the point. So whoever had it could keep it kinda indefinitely and do what they want without being punished.

maybe when endgame it will deactivated. let say if you got hooked on endgame ds will be inactivated

we could stop the timer when the survivor is on the ground, that'd be a fair change imo.

yep agreed this will make ds anti tunnel better than previously and killer should not complain about this if they slug then either they allow other survivor to heal them or eat ds
