Will DS change fix survivors easy reaching red ranks?

So I play red ranks both sides and noticed theres a huge gap between rank 1 and rank 1 survivors ( yeah i know i typed rank 1 twice, thats what the thread is about)

A rank 1 could be a super good runner and do gens fast.

A rank 1 could go down in 5 seconds and do gens fast.

Why are they both the same rank? because Perks are good, especially DS was good.

So now when DS cant be used as a progress perk, will people fall in ranks again?

    Doubtful, I don't run the perk and even when I'm trying to do bad I'll pip as survivor.

    Uhh, no.

    But it wouldn't matter anyway, MMR's coming in so ranks won't matter (even more so than now).

    Hi there, it is not DS, which shuttles "bad" survivors to rank 1. Good survivors give weak survivors a boost, even in Solo Q. As long they are doing gens and playing enough matches theyll always reach rank 1. That is it.

    With skill based matchmaking coming into effect, it's not going to really make a whole lot of difference.

    Well its not there yet. And when it arrives we dont know if its not going to be disabled again.

    In the De-pip thread you talked about Ranks as if they were important, so I guess it will take some time until its here.

    Personally I don't use Decisive Strike or most exhaustion perks except when I feel like doing a meme build and I have zero issues getting to red ranks. Granted MMR will be used soon so I don't believe it matters.

    I don't use DS and play solo and I'm 99% of the time in red ranks

    The ranks that I think are important are the lower ranks, so we're talking yellow and under there. I don't think there's much different between Red & Purple ranks at all, green is a bit more mixed (and purely down to time in those ranks imo). Especially with rank reset the way it is, 2 or 3 matches and previous red ranks are already back in red ranks for example.

    Getting to rank 1 is insanely easy for both sides.

    You could probably do it blindfolded with No Mither at this point
