Friday the 13th chapter
I said it once and i'll say it again a friday the 13th chapter is a must have for dbd. If we were to add a friday the 13th chapter it will be like
Killer: The Slasher (Jason Voorhees)
Map: Crystal Lake Camp
Survivor: Tommy Jarvis

This has been brought up a hundred times.
Any real Friday the 13th fan knows the license is in legal hell and cannot be acquired right now.

While I would love to have Jason in DBD, his license issues will probably make him inaccessible for a long time or forever.

From what I have researched the next hearing on the rights is scheduled for February 10th of this year, meaning in about 3 days. Lets hope they can come to an agreement.
Edit: I made a mistake ignore what I said. The date is wrong.

This is weird because the original writer won the case and was supposed to have the rights but then the opposing side appealed and dragged it out longer.

Sean Cunningham is going after WB for lost profits or something. So the hope of dbd getting jason since the other lawsuit was winding down is basically gone now. Just a quick google search of "friday the 13th lawsuit" using the "news" category will tell you all you need to know..
For jason to come to dbd anytime soon, behavior would have to pull of a actual miracle imo :(

This whole legal issue is spirling out of control.
And you know whats even worse? the original issue is with the original writer owning the FIRST Friday the 13th movie. And Jason didn't appear until the second movie and the hockey mask Jason was in the third. So even if the original writer won the rights to the script it, it would only be to the first movie. Meaning whoever own the rights to the characters of Jason would be another separate issue that needs to be solved.
The chances of Jason coming to DBD is very slim.

Dont be surprised if you hear another lawsuit pop up, my grandma and your dog probably are owed some unpaid profits as well. =<
Side note for us Friday the 13th fans its horrible news....no new movies probably and no jason in dbd most likely.

I am a fan of Friday the 13th and the truth is that this game has enchanted me for the simple fact that my favorite horror stars are here, without Jason, the most iconic killer of the 80's, it is like cake without chocolate, the truth is that every day I am waiting for it to arrive at DbD, but we must wait for that demand to end, if Behaviur acts in the process of the demand, it is risky to bring it, the most convenient thing is to wait, I only hope that it arrives for the Fifth or Sixth Anniversary, it is the license most important to Behaviur you need to achieve.
