The Rank System is COMPLETELY Flawed

I'm stll new to the game, but I am getting a better handle on how to play as a Survivor main. but I do have to say the rank system is completely crap. If I get downed immediately & my team doesn't try to help me I get a point taken away causing me to go toward my rank being lowered. If I don't do enough my Rank doesn't move at all, even if I do 3 out of 4 things for example, I saved someone off a hook, healed 2 others & ran chases to the max from the killer which had a killer stun but at no point could I complete a gen & I saw no totums, so how is that right that I didn't gain anything from it?

I've been going from Rank 16 to 15 & back for over 2 weeks now as I tend to be the one to get tunneled & downed, not too mention I get matched with people who obviously do nothing else other than play this game (no offense on them, but if I simply play touch football & someone has an NFL player come at me, who's going to win?)

I work & do other things as well & while I enjoy the game stuff like the Rank system turns me off playing because I'm essentially getting punished for not winning when losing in itself is a punishment. I can see not gaining a rank point if you don't survive but losing a rank point is just wrong.

We already have to deal with little to no defenses, all we can do is run & most of the time the killers are faster & there's little you can do to maneuver away.

I do hope the developers see this & can at least consider a change in the rank, since I'm sure the survivors won't be able to do anything to fight back (like a bat) & I'm terrible with the flashlight & lately the pallets aren't going down causing me to get hit.
