Is MMR coming in the update today?
I saw in the developer note that they were working on MMR and Rank rewards. So is that going to be today or another time?

There's an update "this week", that wasn't yesterday and has to be before tomorrow for the rift so we can infer it'll be today

Today is almost done here in the Eastern side of the world. The update ain't coming.

Although I can't confirm that it will be, if I had to take a guess they'll release it on the 13th when we would usually have rank reset.

Realm Beyond 4 said it was coming February 9th.

there is no SET date, but has been hints that sites like Realm Beyond has decided to apply to the update. the devs did not say that it would or would not be in the patch today. today is the mid chapter patch where they've been pushing things and not said much about MMR and my theory like last time is that there is no MMR and they will turn match making off making it a free for all. supposedly it's been watching in the background while a flawed match making system was in place so all the data it gets will be from that system, not accurate at all. they also said they would explain more on what the MMR looks at but have yet to do so. I don't know if it will happen today or in the future.

No, it is not. The skill rating system is already active in the background, quietly calculating your rating and predicting how the match will go. Today's update will include some changes to the formula it uses to calculate that rating, but it will not be used for matchmaking yet. We'll be monitoring how the changes to the formula play out, and we're planning to test the skill rating based matchmaking at a later date.

they are saying it has been on since before the first time it was "RELEASED" and hasn't been turned off. make of that what you will but since they don't say what it takes into account I honestly have no faith it will work as intended.

Depends which values getting based on. Those are the details they will never share i guess.
This time i was wondering, how player MMR is getting calculated in the case when there is no pre-collected data about their gameplay, like
- They are new to the game
- Used to play, took a brake and coming back when the systeim is online.

actually no because they did say it is based on your win/loss against or with a certain killer. and the current match making is making people with skill die to killers with less skill and vice versa. last time it happened it was pairing people with less than 2 hours in game with people having 2500+ hours (2 hours or less was killer)
