Hit Validation Turned Off????????
So I noticed that I have been getting downed from 5 feet away. My guess is HIT VALIDATION is gone???

Dude Ive had the same problem. Killers are hitting me a whole character distance away and that wasn't the issue prior to the patch.
Better be fixed soon cuz Im not about giving away free hits to killers.

Hit validation never worked properly. We've all been experiencing stupid hits (despite having a good ping). Hopefully it'll be fine-tuned over time, because currently it's not doing its job that well lmao.

OP you can still take a dedicated hit if your connection as survivor to the server is high latency.
Obviously if that's not the case it's the killer. Hit validation does not work until it's a vpn killer with 600ms but you can't tell.
My guess with the programming of hit validation is that they have a threshold ping and they're scared to lower it in case existing ~100ms killers are badly affected. It's a tough problem.

Noticed the same thing, hit validation is def bonky and even if a Mod says nothing has changed, something has definitely. Its noticable.

This is one of the first things I noticed too. Had three games in a row where there was a good meter or two between me and the tip of the killer's weapon when I got hit. Very annoying. Haven't played in a bit though, so maybe its been like this recently idk.

Not necessarily. How are you sure you're vsing killers with bad ping in these games? You don't get a ping indicator of the killer's connection anymore.

If it was turned off you wouldn't get hit unless you were standing still. Your real position will always be further away from where the killer sees you.

Maybe they're trying to even the score for all the auto aim crap The Killers had to deal with I don't know. I do know I've come across plenty of survivors a new how to shake their ass the right way to get that auto aim going everything about hits in this game is trash there's hits that should hit that don't there's hits that don't hit that should hits that hit that shouldn't ######### now I'm confused

I'm watching a few streams and they're all saying the same thing and I saw the hits as well. Not that it ever worked anyway, but it looks even worse now.
Maybe give it a quick check just in case? I remember when we were all saying Badham was coming up in the rotation more frequentely and apparently it was all our imagination. Until it wasn't.

I'd say 80% of my games (Oceania) so there is very small connections coming overseas for killer. Unlike other regions.

Hit validation is when the killer swings and the sever determining if the survivors hitbox position was at that location while taking into account latency.

Yea, I've also been hit by attacks that shouldn't hit. The hit validation has actually worked pretty okay for me before this mid-chapter, I have very good ping. But now every killer has a gun apparently.
That's the latest hit I got today. But I had a much worse before. I had those hits the majority of the games I played, and I never been hit by these gunshots/weapon throws on a while. I would record them and show you, but I can't, my PC can handle that. Something must have been changed with hit validation because they are incredibly dumb. (Ignore my fantastic art skills xd)

I had a game right now when I had five hits invalidated, or something like that. And it didn't even look as the most horrible hits ever. So hit validation is still in.
