A *VERY* needed Small game buff!!

I absolutely cannot comprehend on why they didn’t use different sound cues for detecting totems and killer traps?

For context: Small game is a perk that allows you to detect totems and killer traps (Bear traps, fake pallets, etc.) by giving you an auditory warning and it goes on cooldown for 10 seconds at tier 3.

But the problem is: The auditory warning sound exactly the same for totems AND traps, therefor, it throws the users off, A LOT!!

So why not use a different sound for detecting a killer trap, maybe a deeper noise than what we have currently would be more than enough! It even qualifies as a quality of life buff, it would have a lot better uses and actually would be decent and fun to use, otherwise, Who needs small game when you have detective’s hunch that casually reveals totems and a plus, reveals everything in the map, meanwhile, players are struggling to find one totem with Small game because they are thrown off by Freddy’s fake pallets.

thank you for reading.

The chances of going against a trap-based killer is 1 out of 11, that's not alot, and that's just assuming that everyone plays every killer equally as much, Trapper and Hag are fairly unpopular killers, I wouldn't really count Dream Pallet Freddy because it's such a situational... Well, situation, that it's just not worth running it in anticipation for that one Freddy out of God knows how many, that actually uses Dream Pallets.

There's plenty of other fun, niche perks similar to Small Game to run that are way less situational, like Blood Pact, Aftercare, Alert, etc.

It'd be nice to see Small Game and other base perks to get some love but I doubt BHVR will be looking at them anytime soon.

    That's not a solution.

Detective's Hunch doesn't alert you of Traps.

Which is what the OP is talking about.

I agree, as it stands its a mediocre perk that is only good in coordinated SWF groups that can sync their builds.

Solo players should never use this perk.

But half the survivor perks are beyond useless at this point.

I just said 1 out of 11 as a shortened version of 2 out of 22, I did mention Trapper and Hag.

I said Dream Pallet Freddy too but it's just so rare that I wouldn't even count it.

Guys, the chances of bumping into a trap or totem doesn’t matter, this perk supposed to either detect a totem or alerting you of a trap by playing “Small game” (just like how it is named) by giving auditory cue, I am not asking for revealing traps or totems, just a different sound would be the most reasonable buff it will ever get to serve it’s purpose.

and it wouldn’t be op or ridiculous. you still have to wait 10 seconds to get a clue on where the totems/traps are located at which is still time consuming but helpful (and fun!) in my opinion.
