Tome Challenges and Lore inconsistencies
Ok guys, this is something that bugs me out, because I can't find a reason why BHVR would do things like this.
Until Tome V we used to unlock lore for some specific characters in each Tome, who were featured in the relative Rift as well, and the way you unlocked the lore for those character was by completing Challenges directly tied to them or one of their teachables. So far so good.
Then came Tome V and the "Halloween event" in which we had:
- Challenges, skin, charms and lore for Hillbilly
- Challenges, skin, charms and lore for Nea
- Challenges, skin and charms for Adam (no lore for him)
- Challenges, skin and charms for Clown (no lore for him again)
- Challenges and lore for Blight (I'm ok with that because Blight was part of the "event")
At first I thought this was just a "hiccup" and Adam and Clown had no lore in the Tome because they had to include Blight in it for Halloween, but then after watching Tome VI trailer I think this is going to become the norm, and that Tome VI will feature:
- Challenges, skin, charms and lore for Nurse
- Challenges, skin, charms and lore for Yui
- Challenges, skin and charms for ONI (no lore)
- Challenges, skin and charms for Felix (no lore again)
- Challenges, skin and charms for Claudette (no lore and ######### she was already featured in a previous Tome?)
Now, I know the Tome challenges are not released yet and I might be wrong, but if this turns out to be true, why doing this? It feels like the lore of some character was removed from the Tome because of some strange reason, wouldn't be better at this point to remove the Challenges for those characters as well if you're not going to give lore about them? Having skins and charms related to them in the Rift could be ok, because the Rift always included skins and stuff related to characters not featured in the Tome, but Challenges and Lore have always been related, why change that?
It bugs me so much even because I know for sure that BHVR already has additional lore for Oni and Felix, why shouldn't it be included in the Tome?
The same thing can be said about Adam and Clown, the description of the outfits which were in the Rift are HINTING at some lore which we are never told, why?

They haven't even done it yet and your already complaining why they doing this.
Stop putting the cart before the horse.
Your baseless conjecture is pointless.

I think they had an idea to tell us in each tome about 2 characters. Chapters and tomes are published in the same time. That is, the number of tomes and chapters will be published the same number per year. But here's the bad luck. They will never be able to catch up on the missing characters because they don't tell us more than two. And apparently that's why they decided to include 4 characters in each tome now, so that sooner or later they would catch up with the number of characters and go on a par with the chapters. To release 2 characters each again, as planned from the very beginning. These characters are considered non-mainstream, as I understand it, because they always have cosmetics of rare quality, not ultra rare and not many charms. But it looks very silly. Many killers did not receive the doll charms, as did many survivors, and on top of that, there was also lore. It is sad.

I'm basing it on what happened in Tome V, and what I saw in the Tome trailer
Of course, if it turns out that I'm wrong I'll be more than happy to be wrong, but based on the previous one, I don't think the conjecture I made will be completely off

Hey, remember this?
Guess what challenge they added in the second level of the current tome? Yup, a challenge which features Empathy, Claudette's teachable
My guess is that we will see Oni-related challenges in the third level, and I'll probably be wrong on Felix, but still I'm wondering why they're doing this, what's the point of having challenges related to characters for whom you don't unlock lore, and even worse, that have already been covered in a previous tome?
