Stop being so dramatic.
I can understand that many of you don’t like these changes, but I can’t understand why you have to act in such a immature way. This is a video game after all, and just because something was changed that you don’t like, y’all act like the devs killed your parents.
If these changes affect your life so much, then maybe your just spending too much time on this game. I also don’t love the new UI, but I can get over it and don’t have to attack the devs and threaten them that I quit the game. I guarantee you it won’t affect any of us if you delete this game.
The devs even said that they’re looking for feedback about the changes so just give constructive feedback and stop overreacting like the world is gonna end.

People just need to criticise them in a constructive way. People saying they want to kill their own game are just overreacting. Instead of just saying to revert the hud how about showing them better ways to place the icons?

People have been giving constructive, informative feedback about what about this patch needs tweaking/fixing or ought to be done from scratch during PTB. Plenty of it.
They said what is good, they said what's bad. They wrote long explanation as to why the new HUD is not well done, why the new animations need polish, where bugs are.
And then the devs went and fixed... nothing, by the looks of it. Maybe a handful of minor bugs. But the big issues? The HUD and the animations?
There they went and claimed 'they want to hear console players' opinions about the new HUD first'. And now that many, many console players raise the same complains as there've been on the ptb, the devs apparently shrug and say 'there's no going back now'.
So, we have the right to be angry for good.

It's a weird position to be in, agreeing with your sentiment here while also wondering how many brains had to shut off to pump this patch out.
Like yeah, this patch isn't gonna ruin my life and anyone screeching bloody murder over it needs to get off the computer and plaster over the holes in their walls.
But at the same time, I feel like I need to ask someone at BHVR to blink twice if someone's holding them at gunpoint until they drive the game into the dirt.

The problem is people was constructive (a lot were) during PTB and when the HUD got announced on livestream (or where it was announced first, cant remember) and all that feedback fell on deaf ears. Its normal for people to be angry after feeling completely ignored, some people are overreacting? Yes they are but seeing all that feedback go for nothing because reasons can be very frustrating.
Me? Im not gonna uninstall but the new HUD strains my eyes a lot, if I dont adapt I will have to cut my time playing the game and I think is sad to spend less time in my hobby because they made a change nobody asked and ignored every feedback because reasons.

If the PTB didn't exist to give constructive civil feedback and alternatives on that gets ignored.
If the dev's won't listen when people are civil then people WON'T BE CIVIL!

honestly i agree, people are going a bit overboard, especially the ones saying the game is “Unplayable” which is utter bull, I was having fun the day before the update on dbd and I still was having fun during the update, game has issues with the update yes i can agree, but really i would never say it has gotten unplayable, that is a huge over reaction

I’m personally having no eye strain but I feel your pain. The devs said the would take “focused feedback” on release so I hope they get around to changing it soon.
I do like the portraits and hook counters though

PTB players don’t represent the whole community so what’s so bad about letting everyone test the new changes? there’s actually many players who like the changes and just because they aren’t on this forum and complaining loudly like you do, doesn’t mean they’re opinion matters less.

If PTB people isn't enough, why have a PTB in the first place? Just push it to live and don't make us waste 2/3 weeks giving feedback that does not matter.

PTB is mostly to find bugs if they released an update without a PTB there would be way more bugs.

If you look back at the halloween event, the only reason they changed something was because people were freaking out everywhere.
Every time the player base gives constructive feedback or they try to reach the devs in other ways they get ignored.
No wonder people try it this way now. Also if you look back at the ptb feedback sub forum, there was constructive feedback on mass.
So they also tried it with feedback first and now they changed the method cause it reached nothing.
But the devs choose to ignore it and now people are mad, what a surprise.

Live servers had bugs that weren't even in the PTB. Look at previous year mid chapter and twins chapter.

You act as though they remove bugs from the PTB before they make it into the live version.
Remember when A Binding of Kin released and half of the new perks didn't work? So much for testing out a PTB to find bugs am I right?

Honestly, the new hud doesn't bother me.
It just takes a quick glance, like it's not like it's asking you to solve the enigma code or something.
I got used to it pretty quick, in the end, it didn't change my gameplay at all.

Imagine believing it was only those who played the PTB that gave their thoughts on the new HUD before the mid-chapter patch.
A HUD does not need to be tested. There is nothing for players to test. Watching streams and looking at images is enough to know how you feel about it. It's also more than enough to know it is objectively bad game design.

If it's a bug, then it's a bug that fundamentally messes with play on such a level that it should never have made it live.

Eh...... no.no. People since the PTB have been giving feed back on the new UI. These devs aren't the only ones that have done UI work for other projects and they keep saying it is not as complicated as they imply. It isn't like 3d modeling or animation.
