Babysitters N Tunnelers

Babysitters and tunnelers are being rewarded by dev now? Seriously played 10 games random people. All killers babysat; about 10 feet from hook, then tunneled, and scored over 20k in bp! Why are they rewarding the stupid players whom can't play legit? I started and tunneled and babysat; and literally got smashed playing and messaged. Are the devs trying to kill this game or what I would really like honest answers from other fans?

I haven't experienced camping in ages, and tunneling is rare for me.

  • They are playing legit you just don't like it.

Killers generally respect this and don't do it because they know survivors do not like it.

They only get that many BP if survivors allow for it, ie not doing gens when they camp, or all swarming as they tunnel one person not doing anything else and instead getting hit a bunch, downed, etc....because that person cannot run a killer very well.

    "can't play legit"

The Killer's job is to kill. However they do it, whether you like it or not, is legit. I admit it sucks and is not fun being camped or tunneled or slugged but, if they're able to do that, then you are failing at YOUR job to stay hidden, and to win the chase if found.

Learn to accept it, learn from it, move on and improve so you do better next time.

Would you have a problem with having lets say 10% chance that all 4 survivors do nothing (basically afk)?

Because thats the amount of enjoyment one can get from camping/tunneling game. It would also be legit.

The amount of point a killer would get would be about average survival score after camping game.

Before you say yes, realistically you could have multiple games with 4 afk people.

Hmm, in my opinion, this is a really strange comparison to make. Survivors don't queue up in a game with intent to AFK as a strategy to win. Camping/tunneling/slugging however, while it sucks to be on the other end of it, IS part of the strategy to win for Killer.

The better comparison I think would be gen rushing. As Killer, it results in a quick game where you maybe hook 1 person before it's over and everyone teabags you out the gate. This sometimes forces to the Killer to camp that 1 hook as it's really their only option to attempt to secure a kill. Not very fun I'd say, but again, my stance as someone who plays both is, we all do we have to do to win. Ultimately, this is a multiplayer game, so one person's fun and enjoyment is always going to come at the cost of the opponent's, in some form. The only scenarios where it doesn't is if the opponent strangely LIKES losing, or if they just don't care (I'm the latter, myself).

Camping happens. You just have to accept it and move on to your next game. If you can't do that, it will always cause you frustration.

Camping & tunneling is definitely aggravating, but it is a playstyle & a strat.

Yesterday I had 3 matches in a row where I was tunneled over and over and over again. Was I mad? Yes. But do I think it shouldn't be in the game? No. This is because sometimes it's necessary. 2 of those games last night, they tunneled me when there was 1 gen left because if they didn't get someone out soon, they were going to lose. Now with me out of the game, they had a fighting chance. I've done the same exact thing when I'm killer & losing control of the game.

Now if they were to camp & tunnel at the very beginning, I'd say it's a douche move because it's so unnecessary & they're practically throwing. But once again, they can play how they want & your teammates will most likely escape anyways (assuming they don't hook dive).

Just try & keep your cool when this happens.

(Now I must ask, what rank are you? I rarely ever see campers at red ranks so I'm going to assume you're in the lower ranks because lower ranked killers tend to camp a lot since they don't know how to play the game to their strengths.)
