Why can't I buy survivors with Iridescent Shards?

I need to buy Yui Kimura in order to complete the new Tome. I have enought iridescent shards. Yet, when I go to the store to buy her, I can only do so with Auric Cells. What is up with that?

Did DbD just become pay to win? If so, I'll just stop playing. It's gets buggier with every patch, and I now I have to spend real money to get a character that was, until recently, available with Iridescent Shards?

    This is the case with many other characters as well. I actually had no idea if I bought the Chapter it would be cheaper than buying them all separately. It sucks but they gotta make money somehow. I agree with you about getting “buggier” 😂 but they release patches for that reason. I wish we could buy them with Iri shards too

    The thing is, she WAS available with Iridescent Shards. When did they change it and why? The way this game is going, I am definitely not giving them a vote of confidence and spending any more money on it yet.
