Is it me or Father Campbell's Chapel has become completely survivor-sided?
I just played a few matches on that map and I didn't find a single pallet or window that wasn't super safe, and the new breakable wall are just terrible (never been a fan of them)... A pity, it was one of my favourite maps because of how balanced it felt.
I will try a few more matches to see if I've just been unlucky, but till now I'm not pleased with the gameplay change (the aesthetic is awsome btw).

If you think that map's bad, check out Pallet Town 2.0, The Game.

I just played a match at the Meat Packing Plant as a survivor. Never again, I would rather DC and take the penalty that have to be on that ridiculous map again. They installed crap tons of those breakable doors that survivors have zero control creating dead ends all over the place, so chases were short and unproductive and there was a bunch of body blocking opportunity. That map was the worst before, but they have outdone themselves now. I won't be going back. But in all fairness it has gotten over all so killer sided, I don't want to bother much anyway. I was once a daily player, If I play a few matches a week now its a lot. With every patch and pro-killer upgrade, I play less and less.

Are you mad? Gideon is now quite possibly the most survivor sided map in the game. The walls limit killers patrol SIGNIFICANTLY and the maps update has left it with the highest number of good pallets in the entire game. There can be no less than 8 god pallets at any given time with the rest of them only being incredibly safe. Killers have no chance to outplay or mindgame at the tiles due to how safe they are. The game also doesn't take floors into account for hook spawns so killers can have colossal hook dead zones. The only killers who do really well there are wraith and god damn jumpscare myers.

1-3 pallets in every room with the main room on the top floor having up to 8... And survivors can't make it two seconds without complaining about a hotbox that gets caught on jagged edges sometimes... Sigh

I still think Haddonfield is worse because every house is infinite if you know what you are doing and is just a bunch of renewable windows.

No it's just you

Lol, no. I will give you 3 god pallets, but they are not new, they are the same pallets that have always been there, right outside the basement and at least one at the top of one of the stariwells. Doctor, Hag, Nurse, Spirit, pig, wraith all have a huge advantage there. Trapper, Billy, Blight and Bubba probably struggle but always have. And now there are a bunch of dead ends all over the place to contend with, plus the footprint of the place is actually pretty small since it is stacked. So, Nurse can move around with ease, Doctor can cover most of the map with his ability and Freddie can traverse the whole place easily, spirit can cover most of the map with her ability easily. It is a hard pass for me, nothing there for survivors, like I said, unless your killer is real new and just doesn't know how to play, but at my rank I never get that guy.

No there's safe pallets everywhere now, you either got unlucky or jut didn't run correctly.
as of writing this its pretty much agreed its survivor sided now.

The game doesn't have jungle gyms or the killer shack to use and waste the killers time, and pallets are a finite resources, it also isn't a good map for stealth because of few LOS blockers, how it's been lit up and how blood trails are easy to see and follow on the concrete, so once the pallets are gone the map quickly becomes killer sided. There are also some killers that have a field day on this map, Nurse, Huntress, Deathslinger, Oni, etc.
There are also some maps that are killer sided, like Rotten Fields is a strong map for high mobility killers and it's pretty much GG if you get a strong billy on that map. So if the map has become more survivor sided from the update, that's not necesarily a bad thing.

Just because there are pallets on the map, they are neither safe or god-like. So showing the amount of pallets on the map does not prove your point. We already knew there were pallets there.

Ok but most of those pallets are god and safe pallets as others have said. On top of that there are way more pallets than before. Yes the old ones are still there, but now there's a ton around them/the map that weren't there before.

Are you new, this game had a pallet every 3 feet when it started. Only in the last year have the devs removed like 80% of them. Maybe they decided it was a bit much and added some back in. My point it they are not all safe or god-like. I just had a run through with a Bubba and he just ran around most, he was only forced to break 2 the entire game.

This map has a bunch of pallets because it lacks in windows. There's usually only 1 LT downstairs, window on the drop and window upstairs near the entrance to the bathroom (from above).
It has always been like this.

@alaenyia No I've been playing the game for almost 3 years now. Your experience is not lining up with most peoples it would appear, so RNG might just be working against you or something else is going on. I'm just saying most people are experiencing a lot of pallets and a lot are safe. That map has always had really safe pallets, it just seems they amped up how many either in amount in general or how many are safe or both.
@Milo Yes I understand the map has very little windows, the same as it had in the past. Making it up in pallets is fine but they went a little too far in the rework it would seem.
Alternatively, people are just noticing now how many pallets there are on that map that are safe and realizing there are too many. So a reduction would probably be the quickest fix or making more unsafe pallets spawn in place of safe ones.

You're definitely new if you've only been playing for 3 years because you weren't playing DBD back in 2016 when the game truly was Survivor sided. If you think the pallets on The Game are "God-like" then you need to see this to understand how much has been done to balance DBD since then.

How it was in 2016 doesn't matter. Just because its better doesn't mean its good. The question is how is it now. No, 3 years is not "new", not that it matters.
