Clown has only improved
The only thing that has been nerfed on Clown was his exhaustion add on. Other than that, he has definitely improved his game by a substantial amount. Even if you don't decide to use his yellow bottle, the faster reload speed was a huge change. Even if it is only 2 seconds faster than it was before, it is still a very good buff because as we all know, killer is all about time efficiency.
I played a few games as Clown after the update and he's definitely much more reliable. I haven't found a reliable use for his yellow bottles in a chase, yet, but I'll probably keep experimenting. It has, however, helped me get around the map quicker. The movement speed increase was definitely noticeable. I don't like how he still only has 4 bottles with the yellow bottles taking up a bottle use, but the reload speed helped with that.
In terms of where new Clown is placed on the tier list, I haven't thought out a definite spot for him yet, but I'm thinking B or C tier. I wouldn't put him at the bottom anymore.

If a survivor is running forwards towards another loop and has some distance on you, toss a yellow bottle at them, switch to purple, and walk through the yellow and throw the pink at the survivor. You will catch up to them significantly in a short time.

I really like how they buffed Clown, but i still find him a little lackluster. Especially compared to pallet eating bubba with Bamboozle.
2 -
That could work, but wouldn't it be better to just throw the purple bottle when they have distance? I guess if they have too much distance to where it's impossible to throw that far, then the yellow bottle could come in handy there.

Yep. And even if they aren’t, you can switch and throw relatively quickly.

ig it can work there, but i find that a bit disappointing considering that that was his rework. the reload is nice though.

This rework is perfect bar two things
- Redheads DC finger wasn’t changed for some ungodly reason
- His pink bow on all his base outfit is annoying
2 -
Kind of? No more exhaustion addons, and the speed boost is only useful in a handful of situations?

I think Clown's rework is serving a nice purpose to the community. Players tend to overestimate and underestimate the same things in different contexts. Movement speed is quite a dramatic one. Playing a 110% killer feels sluggish, but a 115% feels so much faster. Scott Jund made a video on the topic, showing that to traverse the map, it only took 31 and 30 seconds respectively.
When players get bloodlust, they feel like zooming around, but complain that Clown's antidote is barely noticeable when it's equivalent to BL2. Clown now has the potential to activate BL2 on demand, and that is amazing, but the good ones will do that while also denying the benefit to the survivors.

You can't say that he's only improved when they nerfed/removed addons like old solvent jug, green ether bottle, garish make-up kit. He was buffed and nerfed but overall probably a small buff.
What we should talk about is if he was buffed enough or not.

Agreed. The brown to green addons were nerfed. The iridescents and purples combinations remained strong.

I love Clown, but did they nerf his movement speed during this update? He feels a wee bit slower. Why does it take a moment to sit in his yellow mist to be invigorated? By the time I get invigorated myself the survivor sees the yellow mist, and runs the other way to get more distance. I could’ve just tossed purple to catch up to them. Also the invigorate doesn’t last long enough for me considering it doesn’t kick in the moment you step in the mist. I’ve I always thought invigorate should activate the moment you step in it, and it lingers a bit after stepping out of proximity. Similar to Streetwise, Prove Thyself, etc

I know there's a lot of people who are not so happy with the Clown rework, because a lot of people don't think anything changed. But the antidote bottles on Clown are very good once you learn the timing of how to use them, a lot of people are underestimating how powerful the antidote can be. I don't understand how people think Clown is still the worst killer in the game when his chase game is stronger than killers such as Legion, Wraith, GhostFace, Trapper, Myers, Pig, Plague, and the Twins. A lot of people underestimate Clown like usual, I'd probably go as far to say his chase is better than Doctor's. Doctor gets screwed a bit by latency a lot, and your working more with the Shock Therapy.

Yeah people just need to get used to using both his bottles at once and not using them separately.
His antidote bottles are NOT used to traverse the map, just like tonic they are used to close the distance on survivors. using them both makes you 1.6 m/s faster than survivors that is a huge difference in speed it's a bigger speed difference than when legion uses his power.

Green ether was garbage when flask of bleach existed

That’s a stretch but doctor does have better tracking

Yes, I don't understand how they thought it was appropriate to keep that add-on without at all removing some power such as by lowering the number of bottles he has. It's been considered a problem add-on for a very long time, albeit not that prevalent (unlike Iri head) so it was naturally expected that his add-on pass would deal with it.

@ClownIsUnderrated Yeah I never bought the idea that the Clown was the worst killer in the game when Wraith and Legion exist, tbh.

Plus the new Clown hasn't even been out for a week yet, I've seen many times when people are to early to judge killers and label them as bad. DeathSlinger was considered terrible when he came out, because a lot of people were trying to play him as if he were Huntress. Tru3ta1ent was one of them who was doing that, and it finally took him a good six months after release to realize how to actually play DeathSlinger. Blight was considered bad by everyone because a lot of people didn't like the idea of a pinball killer, but once people learned the power more then people realized just how strong he can be. And he'll be even stronger with the new POV he'll have (which might make it to where I don't need ShadowBorn on him anymore), and hopefully address his collision issues. I'd say give it a few months, and we might see posts of Clown being OP and people have finally seen the potential of Clown's antidote.

And Wraith and Legion don't have any ability to help them in chase, which is why it doesn't hurt to throw Bamboozle on them to help around loops. I remember the buff they gave to Clown during the Silent Hill chapter last year in which he no longer slows down after throwing a bottle. People realized the massive difference it had on Clown, but still considered him the weakest of the bunch by all means. At that point he was no longer F tier, he actually managed to make it to C tier with that buff. I wanna actually do a tier list of my own at some point, probably gonna wait because we're gonna be getting a PTB for the new killer sometime this month but probably gonna start doing it anyway.

Doctor still is better than Clown thanks to Static Blast information, and it's so good to use with Whispers. But with the amount of time I've played on Doctor and Clown, I just think Clown's chase ability is better than Doctor's personally. I can't tell you how many times I've been screwed over by latency with Doctor's Shock Therapy, when I 100% know I timed the shock right. I recently started using Bamboozle on Doctor thanks to getting screwed with the window vaults
