Ok we all get angry at the devs but....
Can we maybe take a minute to appreciate all the stuff they do right, i know the devs cant be exucused for the mistakes they make but lets give them so credit for the one post at least.
Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Usually I would agree, however the arrogant attitudes they have been displaying to the player base recently and the massive history of ignoring PTB issues and rolling out the patch anyway has changed my opinion on that.

no, until we dont get chenges that are needed

Making a statement about the issues the community has isn't really worth praise or appreciation.

Yeah I feel like people are neglecting all the good changes.
New clown is very solid and his chase music is great
New maps look and play well( the game needs a tone down on pallets though)
While the new hud is bad more info is always nice
New animation are a step up though could still be improved
Perk changes are small but appreciated

Thats Fair enough

Could someone post the meme from spongebob? The 'we did it patrick! we saved the city!" one? Cause that very much sums things up

I don't think the issue lies with the staff put to task on working these things. More often than not, they're spearheaded by unknown and unseen superiors who push for changes despite internal and external feedback. I won't say this is exactly the case with BHVR, but it's similar to how it happens with other developers of live service games.

So far.......So far...
I'm impressed that this thread has been pretty respectful to each other (unlike....a couple of other threads on here atm....)

I'd argue new Asylum plays worse. Tiles without collision, and needless rubble with huge hitboxes put on every Asylum building entrance.

The nerf to asylum main building is enough for me. Clowns map was always good though

What perk changes? None of the perks got their 'buffs'
Open Handed is still 8 meters
Diversion still requires 45 seconds
And Fixated still doesn't work while you're injured

I already appreciated Kate, Jane and Ice Titties yesterday.
I don't have any more minutes to give to your cause.

The hit box thing is completely unacceptable. That is all.

I wasnt praising that. It takes more than a statement to truly win me over. just thought that the good shouldn't be ignored.

Fixated should work and same with pebble.
Don’t know what happened to open handed but tbf even with the buff no one would run it

Nope. No excuses and i tell you why: i'm a full time developer too, and if i would make just one or two mistakes like that i would be out of the company in no time, and they have plenty of developers to choose from. Just a couple of mistakes costs your job. Period. That's the reality, and you have to hear what the other colleagues says about DbD: coded with feets. At BHVR the phrase "quality control" or "quality check" means nothing, otherwise they wouldn't release patch after patch with new bugs, braking things that was already working before. A game can have bugs, all games have at least a hundred, but this is beyond ridicule. Bugs are made to be fixed, not to create new ones at every new patch. The Elodie audio bug for example. If you do quality control check, it could be fixed in 2 seconds. 2 seconds, not 2 months. As a project manager i wouldn't spend money and resources in new "animations" to screw the control feeling: fix those damn servers and write a proper framework for latency prediction algorithms, like all the AAA MMO has. DbD is the only multiplayer game that doesn't have a latency prediction. They have something called "hit validation" but that doesn't work at all, if you watch at the streams how players constanty get non existent hits, while still far from the killer. So... nope, no excuses. They take money from you and should give you at least an mid-high quality product.

What's defined as a "change that is needed". It feels like every time there's a change that's needed and they change it people complain about "OMG THAT WAS COMPLETELY UNNECESSARY" like seriously. People asked for an Undying change and complained about it for months. They nerf Undying and all of a sudden it was an unnecessary nerf. Seriously I get it wasn't specifically what we as the community had in mind for a nerf, but they still nerfed it as requested by 90% of the community. Something can't be requested and then you get it and all of a sudden "It's unnecessary." With that mindset they will never make anyone happy.

Normally I'd agree but in this case we have to complain. We did give them a lot of credit for the changes to DS and Object Of Obsession tbf.
However we need to talk about the last patch they released for the twins. It was broken in the ptb and they released it unfinished. We assumed this time since they were taking an extra week after the ptb that this patch would be fine, but it wasn't.
The fact that they are trying to force us to like the new UI and movement is something I can't agree with. They said yesterday they were listening so we'll see if they really are. Imo the current UI and movement will stay in the game with very minor changes but I'll happily be tagged back here if I'm wrong.

for me needed changes are
no1 evert the hud
no2 rever this broken survivors movment
