Why do the graphically updated maps have such thin grass?

It makes it really hard to play as Trapper and it still doesn't make any noise when survivors move in it (correct me if I'm wrong on that one).
They need to be just a little bit thicker so Trapper can hide his traps.

I know right? I prefer the old grass because it looks more messy and clustered. Like they haven't been maintained at all. Now it looks like the maps are always close to a pond or swamp land.

I was finding that annoying as trapper as well.
I think they could stand to add a lot more grass and make it a lot thicker on almost every single map

Because the killers always complained about the corn and grass on other maps, so this is the result.

Since when did killers complain about grass?

I've seen it, I cant remember how long ago though. Seems people's views are very shortsighted and future repercussions are never considered.
I've found you have to rely on putting traps at the boring places like outside windows and so forth as placing them outside on new maps (e.g. in the grass) just doesnt work well anymore.

One of the annoying factors of old grass was that it covered scratch marks. Which is iikely why the grass is thinner now so it doesn't cover scratch marks.

Probably some truth to that, but I think it still shows the dev's solving one thing, but not thinking about what else it would effect.
They could easily have made the traps darker (like the addon for Trapper does) to help alleviate the issue, but nope.

Yes the grass is hideous...everything gets more hideous with each update.

More grass density would result in more FPS drops.
I'm losing performance with each update personally.

Well, the devs just hate trapper honestly.
Like, why does he not have AT LEAST 2 traps as basekit?
I don't get it

And to think, all of this because the Devs didn't want scratchmarks spawning over grass.

Another problem is that you can use lower graphic settings to gain an advantage. Traps are a lot easier to find.
