The soul and personality has almost been entirely removed from the game.
Just giving my personal opinion because I have spent over £100 British pounds on costumes in this game alone so I believe I deserve a say. I love this game. Everything about it. This game has been my entire life for about two years now it has got me through so many depressed times and I will always love this game, but I can not love it in it's current form. The way the players used to crouch was so funny, nodding heads at each other in as literally the funniest thing ever everything about it was perfect. The way the characters used to stand looked so natural and had a mysterious vibe to it. I can't even begin to talk about how efficient the old HUD was I wouldn't be able to describe how efficient.
They have destroyed so much and as the saying goes, you shouldn't fix what isn't broken. I can't 360 killers anymore because the way I do it just doesn't work anymore because the movements have changed and yeah I feel like I'm playing an older version of the game at the moment, not a new one.
Sad times. :( RIP

While the new movement feels bad I like the new animations. I can now stare the killer down and nod my head at the gates to say GG as well as greet other survivors. You can still 360 and moonwalk it’s just really hard.
New hud besides the new info is bad tho I can agree on that

The soul and personality of these forums have been removed. Sorry had to be said.

I was about to make this same topic. I agree. No more spinning on the ground, rapid crouching to greet other survivors, or that funny little shuffle walk people liked. They've changed the animations just for the sake of changing them and it sucks.

Agreed. The old movement was a huge part of what made DbD fun. It's a huge part of what made DbD...well, DbD. It feels like new decisionmakers are just trying to make their mark on the game for the sake of it. Why overhaul something that isn't broken after 5 years, especially considering how much your playerbase has been screaming for you to fix the things that are actually broken? It. Makes. No. Sense.

I think the intention is to make DbD look new. Other franchises release a new game instead. Like Destiny or Ark.
When nothing changes, the game starts to look old and its harder to attract new players. So its neccessary when you dont want the game to die.
Im fine with the new animations, although im a bit nostalgic and i never really wanted the animations to change. In one or two months it will be normal anyway.

I want to preface this with the fact I am not trying to be snide or mean. All online games have their ups and downs. Perhaps it is because I'm old that I don't have the same sense of urgency. I've seen it all, and I am quite patient for things to course correct to something I like. We take the good times and the bad. I just think it is best to keep ones sense of perspective:

One should not tarnish the song by bringing it into the DBD forums.

You have described my feelings and many others feelings exactly. It's serious really, here in the UK it's about 9pm and usually it takes at least ten to fifteen minutes to find a game because there are so many survivors playing but right now and last night I could find a game within 2 minutes because nobody is playing and I don't blame them. I play dead by daylight every night and this is unheard of from my perspective.
