So survivors with DS, UB, BT or Object or Killers with BBQ, Infectious, PGTW have gigantic lobby times then. That is not fair either.

It would be when the killer and survivors have already been matched like how other competitive games do it. In MOBAs like League for example you can just straight up ban characters on each side.

This would be a terrible thing to do. No one would try playing those killers anymore because people don't want even longer lobby times. Survive with friends would all vote different killers (so you'd ban 8 killers) and make teams to counter the majority of the others you didn't ban.
Killers would have even less reason to want to play killer (which killers are already few in comparison)

I see what you are trying to do. Good idea in theory, but not for the way Dead by Daylight is designed. Let's compare it to something like Rainbow Six Siege which has both a casual and ranked mode to play in. Rank has this ban system for operators, and typically it is the same operators banned every time because of how good their utility is. Anyone who wants to play those operators must go play casual. BUT here is DBD we only have one playlist, the normal playlist. This means that allowing these bans would lead to the same killers being banned 95% of games (Spirit, Nurse, Billy, Freddy) making them pretty much unplayable. Even after a rework people could still ban them and no one would get to test out changes. This would be the same as effectively removing one of the top tier killers from the game. Not to mention matchmaking already has a hard enough time without throwing anything extra into the mix.

Yes, people dont like killers that cant be looped easily, because it requires different skills to survive, and people like the same running-in-circles-playstyle every game as long as it wins them the game.

The devs have stated there is nothing wrong with any of those.
If your being camped stay on the hook and everyone else do gens.
If your being tunneled bring BT+DS and learn to loop.
If your slugged bring UB.

Just like the discussion about making solo and swf into different queue. The latter would have tremendously increased waiting time up to not even getting into a game.
This would also show a problem.
And don't tell me those are two different scenarios or things because, just like swf can be beaten up to a certain point, so can be spirit.

I'm pretty sure that MLGA didn't prevent you from being matched with the players you blocked, it would just tell you, that you are in a lobby with someone you blocked so you could leave the lobby.
It's obviously annoying if survivors constantly dodge your lobby but they had to regroup every time, so to me it sounds like they were hurting themselves more than the killer.

I also think that a block feature wouldn't work in dbd, it would only increase lobby times but wanting to block something is not a wish that only dbd players have and some games even allow players to block certain characters e. g. Rainbow Six Siege.

Well, many people ARE running those perks as you suggested. And see the results: endless ranting about survivors bringing DS/BT/UB all the time.
As for banning killers: no. I don't want to sit longer in survivor queues just because my team mate doesn't want to play against Spirit.

you would never get to play the killer you want to, ban perks, now that sounds fun. I mean i think spirit/freddy be pretty skill less but still you should get to play the game how you want.

i get the feeling that if this were to happen it would only happen if they made a competitive mode or for like a tournament but I fell like they would have to allow to the killer to maybe ban 1 or 2 perks for survivors just to make it fair for both sides because if they only allowed the ban for survivors then it wouldn't be fair for the killers
