For any naysayers on the ds nerf:
Feel like this perfectly conveys current ds. For example at 5:00 both dwight and felix got unhooked recently and both jumped into a locker so he just stands there for like a minute waiting lol. And the first clip he hooks 3 other survivors and still gets dsd at hatch.

I just got done watching that.

Tbf the only people complaining about this change are the ones who do this very thing in the video(not that I blame them you can’t save it by missing the skill check)

I just watched that video and I am outraged a this man tunneling poor survivors, but to be fair it was not Otz so tunneling is understandable

U do realize that with this nerf, there's a much higher chance of DS making it to hatch or worst case scenario 4 DS's making it to end game?
0 -
How so when unhooking disables ds? At the endgame its close to impossible to have 4 ds's with the unhook clause and healing.
3 -
That's exactly what I want u to think. Then one by one each survivor takes their turn, pulls out a knife and stabs the killer.
"Et tu, Dwight?"
"Always has been"

Survivor A gets hooked survivor B unhooks him you down and hook survivor B Survivor C unhooks B Same thing Survivor D unhooks survivor C and gets downed and hooked. 3 ds's and someone has to unhook, if A does they lose their Ds so at most its 3. You ever do math?

Pretty sure the last sentance is wrong since ive gotten hit by Ds after hooking 2 other survivors and all of this compilation is no tunneling ds's. So nice try. *this is a message from a rank 1 killer and survivor:please get good*

Funny.
I just tunneled someone who worked on a gen, healed and opened the gate as Deathslinger.
7 -
U forgot deliverance and the same survivor can unhook more than once.
0 -
It's not tunneling if u get off the hook, go get a survivor I JUST put on the hook, and your standing right there, what? I'm NOT supposed to down you when you are right in front of my face?

Except they aren't nerfing DS when it comes to lockers...so what you're saying is they should nerf it in that DS is disabled when you're in a locker and not when you do anything else?
right? right.

90% of the time, they aren't tunneling. You go straight to a locker, or run up to the killer. And you're on a gen, staying there. Fair and balanced dude
1 -
yeah exactly! Only the people who actually abused it are the ones complaining. I find it weird that the devs didnt disable the perk when entering a locker I really believe that was the biggest issue. (Then again no matter how many times they nerf this perk killers and survivors will always complain about it)

I mean if ur eating all 4 DS's then yeah kinda sounds like you were.

Yep just like noed if they nerf it people will still hate it

My guy I hate to tell you this but from personal experience, every time there is no obsession in the game the killer has tunneled each and every one in that match so until killers stop tunneling with no obsession in game DS is sadly staying.

Bro, the nerf doesn't take away the anti-tunnel at all. If you get tunneled off hook, you'll get the value. What it does is keeps DS from being an offensive weapon. You can't go unhook in front of the killer, you can't go do objectives and then hop back into a current chase to take a hit. Basically, now its ONLY an anti tunnel perk and you guys are so mad that it can't be used as a weapon
2 -
Lol, so you can down 3 people, switch targets constantly, get them all downed quickly, and "he ate those DS's because he tunneled"? What is your definition if tunnelling?
0 -
Hmmn i'd say my view on tunneling is "the second the survivor is unhooked you go right back to them no matter what you're doing, even if you're mid chase with another survivor" and yeah he can tunnel all 4 survivors ive seen it many times. Go for the survivor that was just unhooked down them take the D strike then hit them and leave them on the floor. Eating 4 d strikes is almost impossible unless you are going out of your way to tunnel (unless they do what most dumb survivors do with d strike, run at the killer)

But that's generally not what would happen. The survivors who have DS active will play boldly, body block, do gens or unhook in front of you, etc because they know they're safe with the DS/UB combo. Those that legit get tunneled, sure, they deserve the DS. But I avoid tunnelling and survs constantly try to abuse the perk. That's why making it where they can't do anything without deactivating the perk is fair. If you're REALLY being tunneled, then you get the value. Why is the nerf actually a problem if you're not abusing it?

Also, at first I thought you were referring to the otz video, but now I see you're responding to the random comment saying he ate 4 DS's. I doubt he would have mentioned it if he was tunnelling though

Before DS was a thing killers rarely tunneled (both the super general version and the normal version). The existence of DS caused far more tunneling than ever. I think the newfound freedom to tunnel causes the tunneling to happen without obsessions. Given enough time the tunneling would probably fade away once again.

This entire argument relies on DS being intended to be an anti-tunnel perk. It isn't; ever since its conception, it was meant to be a second chance perk, but was nerfed into having some anti-tunnel capabilities. Even after the changes, DS is a horrible anti-tunnel perk.

actually this is just rare case and even if someone is doing that eating DS early is the best, and why wait 1 minute on locker just open up and eat ds its annoying perk but not OP and rarely useful in game. I better have other perk in my survivor build

You actually can save DS. You just can't attempt the skill check and miss it. If you don't press anything you can save it.

For sake of reference, post-nerf DS is useful for this exact scenario. It's getting DS'd even when the Killer hasn't been tunneling that's the problem.
2 -
Did not watch video but I welcome the nerf, in fact it's a long time coming.

Most of this video was pre ds update.

I can't wait for this DS nerf to go live, the only thing i hope they remove is healing disabling it since that is kinda dumb and also maybe unhooking but other than that all the other disabling interactions are very justified.
0 -
Ok but you can now punish survivors who do the interactions that disable it.
Survivors are also not going to do gens as quickly since they have to at least heal first or risk getting tunneled, so this means it's less likely that you will both encounter the perk and have gens rushed.
As for 4 DS's making it to end game you should always down the person doing the save and hook him and if you can before that down the unhooked and make him waste DS or just straight up kill him if he doesn't have it.
