The hook counter looks strange there so i'd personally have it right about the generator icon. Other than that, this is great.

Why do they insist on having the survivor information going upward? Get it out of the way, it's blocking valuable screen. Also I hope they realize how painfully small hook timers are currently.

That looks ugly, have the Survivors next to each other not on top and remove the coloured portraits.

Not even in the least. Not only is that too cramped, but this idea that all the info needs to be in one little spot is lazy as hell.
Seriously, all of this whining about the UI is based on things being too spread out so you can't just glance and go. The survivor portraits are in an easier to see spot which is advantageous to keep track of what's going on without having to constantly look down. If anything, the gen counter should be moved down the the left corner, and the timer bars should be made a bit bigger. That's it.
So sick of the lazy complaints. Games have had UI huds like this for AGES. Get used to it. In a game ment to be manic while keeping you on your toes in suspense, making you look around should be expected. 🙄

If you enjoy doing 360s around the edges of your screen to get your info instead of a quick glance to the bottom left, then more power to you, I guess.

Seriously, if they did just that. The new UI would have been fine. With all the issues with the game right now and the time they spent on this new UI no one asked for. I'm getting the idea they are deliberately working slow on mediocre things to give off the impression they are working.

It's a step in the right direction, but survivors portraits are taking up too much space when they are stacked vertically

When I play killer I like to be able to keep track of:
- My power, especially if it's a killer with a cooldown or limited power like huntress/clown/bubba
- The survivor I'm chasing, obviously, to see where they are going
- The survivor states, because I need to know if someone heals/gets unhooked while I'm chasing
- How many gens are left, yes, I know there is the audio cue, but I'm more concentrated on survivor sounds if I'm chasing someone
With the UI we have NOW, I have to look in 4 different places (bottom left for my power, center of the screen for the chase, top left for the health states, top for the gens)
I'm no UX/UI designer, but I think that if I have to look in 2 places (bottom left and center of the screen) instead of 4 to get all the information I need, my general experience is going to improve

Unfortunately they're not going to do the survivor icons any other way. Apparently horizontal at the bottom it's too easy for the names to be cut off, which they can't have.

I'd prefer to have a name cut off than having it go towards the center of the screen but ok, I just hope they find a better version of it

I'd rather have the names turned off completely than have them sticking out from the side. They're the least important part of the HUD, they do not matter for gameplay whatsoever.
What they should do is have the survivor stats be horizontal. Have the survivor portrait above an empty space where the bleed out timer / hook state progress bar can go. Then, under that, have the player's name, which now, since it's under the bar, can be painlessly broken up into multiple lines if need be.
Boom, fixed.

Yes all info you need in one smaller area. Not having your view blocked by icons to the left and above. Right now I don't even look at how many gens are done or the survivor icons it's too much and all over the place. It's so stupid.

There could also be a text above all of that saying "The hatch has spawned" like in mobile to help newer players understand when the hatch actually spawns. A totem counter would be nice too (maybe).

Speak for yourself... Looks to cluttered and is ass. Just keep HUD how it is but allow us to move the stuff where we'd like. I'd personally keep it how the current one is because I'm not entitled like majority of you here.

yeah, this is definitely better than what we currently have and also than what they have proposed now.
i really hope they consider this one.
Names shouldn’t even be seen in-game (or pre-game for that matter...). If there are multiple of the same survivor there has to be an easier way to differentiate them..?

I didn't have a real complaint about the HUD we have now, but seeing this idea seems to be the best one. All the information in a compact manner, easy to read and understand at a glance.
