Wraith cloaks
Just curious does anybody know why wraith has a speed boost when he cloaks and when he comes out of cloak, is it fair if he's invincible already isn't wraith ability the element of surprise, so isn't being invincible op enough why couldn't he just run at normal speed when cloaked and speed boast when he comes out of cloak, I understand needing it since coming out of cloak is so slow but don't they have add- ons to come out of cloak faster so that plus a add on for faster or longer speed is kind of op no, just wanted to hear what the community thinks kind of new, not even a year in yet i think lol

Look a little closer and you'll realize he's not even invisible.
That's why Wraith moves faster while cloaked, because that's his only benefit besides removing terror radius.

Outside of his cloacking, that takes some time to get in and out of, what else does he have?
The answer is nothing, he is a M1 killer.
Also his stealth is not THAT amazing that is would justify him having nothing else. You can still see him far enough to start running away, you can still hear him, at a certain level of play its almost meaningless.
The speed boost helps him improving a bit his patrolling (and in a smaller measure his chasing), it's far from being op.

Boy golly, just wait 'till you hear about the Spirit.

Wraith's specialty is surprise attacks, if Survivors know he's coming and he starts uncloaking they could just get away and not have to worry about him hardly if he didn't have the speed boost. It's there to give the Wraith time to actually catch up after having a slow uncloak time. The uncloak speed add-ons are interesting, but I wouldn't call them overpowered or in need of a nerf. Not to mention you could always run away when he's closing in on you before he starts uncloaking and he'll have to catch back up to you. In summary, I don't think it's op and there's definitely a good reason for his speed boost after uncloaking.

First, the word you're looking for is invisible. Invincible means unbeatable. He has a speed boost while cloaked because that is part of his power. Just being invisible would make him much weaker than he already is. He is an M1 killer, and as such, is very easily loop-able by any competent survivor.
When uncloaking, he actually slows down and gets a small boost to his lunge. Part of your job as a survivor is to be aware of your surroundings and prepare for his ambush. If you hear his bell, start moving, don't just continue to sit on the gen. I will admit, it is harder to predict him now that they buffed his invisibility, but nonetheless, he is far from OP.
I recommend you run Spine Chill to counter him and other stealth killers. It'll give you time to run to a vault or loop so you can buy time for your team.

Just beat a spirit, I wonder why people get so hurt when you leave a comment about a killer ain't that what this page is for, sounds a little creepy to me lol

Wraith is far from OP, he's actually quite weak. Not weak as in he's useless, but his only 'power' is turning invisible, and even then he's still trackable. Since the recent update to him, he's a little tricker to spot, but not impossible. He works the same as Freddy when you're not asleep. You'll see Wraith's 'shimmer' at a set radious (24m I think?), beyond that he is completely invisible. Chances are you'll hear him before you see him coming. His footsteps are loud, and his breathing is like growling. When you know your facing a Wraith you need to be constantly watching out for him, and listening for his sounds. Though he can be tricky with certain add-ons. His Silent Bell can catch you off-guard if he decloaks behind a LoS Blocker, and he can also use an Add-On that stops his TR for 6 seconds after uncloaking. You can also 'Lightburn' him from his Cloaking by shining a Flashlight on his body when he's invisible. This is essentially a pallet stun and will burn him out of cloaking and stun him, but it takes a couple of seconds to do, the same as a normal Blind on a killer. Overall, Wraith is just a killer you need to watch the surroundings for.

Right you're all making good points excuse the inexperience still a rookie at this game it's alot of fun though and with me playing more and getting advice from this app and the community I'm understanding and getting alot better thanks for the support

Thanks, any advice on his silent bell, and why wraith players don't run that add on more often?

KEKW, look at that guy, comes, make a very clueless rant about one of the weakest killer in the game, clearly being mad that he got owned at low level by one, then try to the pull "u mad" at people when he got told he was stupid...
Cmon.

Honestly sounds like someone got clapped by a Wraith.
Wraith actually needs a buff to his cloaked movement speed because in essence he is an m1 killer, decloaking well requires timing and precision. He cannot exert enough pressure with his basekit!
I myself am a Wraith main and against good survivors, even with my best addons, my success is entirely RNG dependent, survivor spawns, hook spawns, tile spawns, it's all random and affects whether I'm going to win or lose, put me on haddonfield and it's a guaranteed loss unless the survivors are literally terrible, it's so hard to lose on haddonfield as survivor, nearly impossible!
I saw you asking why more Wraiths dont use his silent bell more often so I'll answer as well!
It's an iri addon and unless you've P3d a killer their iris are only gonna show up every three to four bloodwebs on the least favourable paths (instead of the perks you want) and you have to make the conscious choice to get them most of the time. Also generally his other iri addon is much more powerful, being able to see who's working on gens whenever, it allows you to pressure much easier as you can basically nip an issue in the bud if you're good at chases!

Here's your answer: no map pressure by default

Its what people call an iri add on. Iri meaning iridescent. These iri add ons are found in the bloodweb and can be obtained from level 25+ I think? Every killer comes with 2 of those iri add ons, most people consider Wraiths to be the best. So yeah, silent bell clapper is an iri add on which is kinda difficult to get and require a good amount of bloodpoints

Wow did not know that thanks for the info

No prob

If you really want to know about a killer, I suggest going into a custom game, select the killer you want to look at, and just read there add ons

Huntress only has one Iri add-on.

LOL we actually won that match I was always curious about his power it seemed op but now I have a better understanding and I knew when it seemed like a person was a butt hurt from another person's comment about a killer it was only because that person main that killer
1 -
Wait... actually!? Dang, even I'm learning more than I thought, lol

Fair enough
Well I mean I'm a Wraith main but lots of people in this community get very defensive over their 'side'

I see you've got lots of answers already, but just in case you want more information on whatever else you can think of, you can always go to this detailed wiki: https://deadbydaylight.fandom.com/wiki/Dead_by_Daylight_Wiki

I was Just joking but it does seem like there's sides in this community, I haven't had the pleasure to play as killer is it as good as it sounds
1 -
You really should try playing the killer a little bit. You’ll get their weakness a lot better, and how to play against them.
Wraith is the most add-on dependent killer (outside of maybe trapper). Without his add-ones, he is really rough to play.
0 -
Yeah I know I think I've opened my big mouth a little to fast this time but I got it no more complaining about the killers until I've tried their side you're right I'm sorry if I offended I'm still kind of new
1 -
Wraith always had a speed up while in cloak, but there was a time when the post uncloak boost only existed as an addon. He was never truly invisible, you always saw the shimmering and so survivors would immediately run to pallets and there you are... slowly trailing behind them. With the post blink speed add on you could sometimes get a hit before they made it to one of the many, many, many pallets.
He was really weak, so they just gave it to him as base kit, but I can't remember if what he has now is over-all slower than what he used to have, or the same. It was a while ago when I was a survivor main.
0 -
Yeah there are unfortunately, it's frustrating to watch as someone who's very much on both sides.
You should certainly play killer it's fun and has a much higher skill ceiling than survivor, you're also always guaranteed to learn things playing killer, whether how to be a better killer or learning survivor tips from better survivors
0 -
Right I hear people say that alot, that i could get better playing as killer that's why I'm about to stop complaining as much about their powers
