Pyramid Head "flick" nerfed?

I've only played Pyramid for about a month, but I swear he was shadow nerfed in this last update. I used to be able to aim Punishment straight ahead, but launch it at an angle.. now I'm locked in to straight ahead. He feels so much weaker at loops where killer and survivor can see each other.

Anyone else noticed this?

And if I'm right.. shameful.

    maybe.. he definitely feels different though. maybe the range attack takes longer to connect.. i don't know, but it's different IMO. I still feel like he could have the sword locked in the ground and you could turn and attack at same time

    I know this is off topic but what section did you post this to get it under general discussions?

    Nah before the last patch you could turn it to a certain degree and get some major predictions, but now it's locked in to an animation,wherever the knife goes in it's locked to that specific location. He's almost completely useless at loops now, there striping him of everything that made him fun at launch. They might as well rework his power because I'm sure he'll drop even further after the new changes and strangely enough I tried to R2 my attack today after using Rights Of Judgement and it was completely locked for 2 seconds. The shadow nerfs are there.

    i had to be browsing the "Recent Discussions" sub forum instead of General Discussions.. otherwise GD wasn't a category on a new post.

    Yeah, it has been changed along the uptades. Now using it in that way and hit depends on skill and survivor's skill...

    Now I don't use it like that, now I try to replace myself within 1 sec of the animation where you stab the ground so I can time and view of the pallet and attack if they drop it, same with windows.

    Also, you will need to zone survivors using early rites of the judgment so they are limited and just m1 when they dont drop the pallet or try to juke you

    I stand by that he has never been able to turn his attack in place, I've never done it or seen it from anyone else playing him, if you have a vid I'd be very interested to see it.

    If you step forward you can turn but while standing in place you cannot turn at all, the attack always launches in front. If you're holding a camera direction when you attack, you will turn right after the launch and it feels like your attack turned, but it really didn't. Perhaps that was changed so that you can't flick your camera in that way anymore, but that wouldn't impact the attack. Also if you're directly in melee when you launch, your attack will lock on to the survivor like a normal swing, that's the only way your attack can actually turn as far as I know.

    That said, I play on keyboard and mouse, perhaps it genuinely was different on controller and it got changed to match?

    @BlackMercury

    You're just going to take my word that it has been changed.They say its because they want to move the character into a more skill based group like spirit,nurse,and billy but if you're not playing with mouse and keyboard this will probably never be as precise on console.

    For anyone who says you can’t flick the punishment: you’re wrong. It’s hard to do but it’s powerful. I do it on pc and console. It’s not a well known technique.
