After people stop complaining about dead hard...

Ok, how do you counter a survivor dead harding to a pallet as an M1 killer?
0 -
why are you bringing up the killer? They have no say when it comes to using this perk since the problem is the distance.

Getting stunned isn't a mistake though. As a killer I'm trying to make you waste those pallets. If I can get a hit at the same time, great. It always cracks me up when someone tea bags after a stun. You just let me take away one of your resources, bud.

same way you would counter it if they had sprint burst or lithe to a pallet or any other exhaustion perk. At that point i try and force them to drop it and then i break pallet so its not there later.

I mean if you read the rest of the thread, you'd see I do have a lot to say. I just don't like word games. Call things what they are
1 -
Ok so how do you actually counter it?
0 -
Survivors have no say when it comes to killers using perks i don't get the point your trying to make but if its about DH distance you get more distance out of any other exhaustion perk.
0 -
you don't always counter its an exhaustion perk designed to give a survivor a chance to get away it goes on a cooldown at that point use it to your advantage
4 -
not on demand or without setup.
the other exhaustion perks don't save survivors from going down after the killer manages to outplay them and make them stuff up.
0 -
Ok so you can't counter it then. Dead harding to a pallet after you've made a mistake has no counter.
2 -
Define "outplay" because if you get close enough to a survivor that is injured and they sprint burst away, wouldnt that be considered an "outplay"?
2 -
Perks to give you advantage? OP and unfair, didn't you know
3 -
I can tell you are never going to change your mind on DH i main killer look me up on steam same name i have never had an issue with dead hard i'm still able to chase and down a DH user someone who Knows how to use Sprint Burst or Lithe most of the time i just have to let them go and wasted some time chasing them in the first place.
4 -
As long as Spirit and Nurse exist, yeah, I think it's pretty fair.
3 -
Ehh as a killer main the only perk in the game I have a problem is with is DS. Getting hit by it even when your not tunneling is frustrating and being punished for doing your objective is frustrating(same reason why I think NOED needs a change) DH is not remotely consistent enough to need a nerf.
2 -
I must say I do not like the idea of a perk that saves you from a situation where you deserve to get downed, but it definitely isn't broken or OP. DH does not need a nerf.
2 -
People just want easy wins, so instead of learning to play against perks, they call for nerfs.
Next up:
Dead Hard (Gives the survivor a longer chase, SO UNFAIR!)
Sprint Burst (Survivor can escape chases before they start. SO UNFAIR!)
Iron Will (Survivor totally counters killer's hearing. SO UNFAIR)
Adrenaline (Survivor on hook comes off totally healed. SO UNFAIR)
Unbreakable (Survivor can pick themselves up without help once. SO UNFAIR)
Borrowed Time (Survivor can safely unhook. SO UNFAIR)
Spine Chill (Survivor can tell when the killer is coming without a terror radius. SO UNFAIR)
Lithe (Survivor can gain more distance at a vault. SO UNFAIR)
then on the killer's side:
BBQ+Chili (Killer sees auras of survivors. SO UNFAIR)
NoED (Killer gets to insta-down everyone. SO UNFAIR)
Corrupt Intervention (Survivors can't do gens they spawn next to immediately. SO UNFAIR)
Pop Goes the Weasel (Killers get to remove a ton of progress from a generator. SO UNFAIR)
Infectious Fright (Promotes slugging. SO UNFAIR!)
Save the Best for Last (Shortens chases for killers. SO UNFAIR)
Whispers (Killer can find last survivor at the exit gate. SO UNFAIR)
Monitor and Abuse (Deathslinger has a 5 meter terror radius. SO UNFAIR)
But even then people won't be satisfied. We'll keep nerfing perks on both sides until there's nothing fun to use, and then you might as well just play perkless. Which I think is what people seem to prefer at this point. Though they only want the other side to play perkless. Nothing that gives them any sort of advantage. That's SO UNFAIR. Almost like that's the point... of perks or something. To give you a leg up.

They'll nerf dead hard if killers want it nerfed. Killers have to be spoon-fed and past history proves it with every nerf and patch.

Sluzzy.....after reading your comments I really wish I could play the same version of DBD that you play. It sounds way better than the one I got :(

Baiting dead hard is basically saying the survivor was gonna go down anyways because they are so far out of position. You can't bait dead hard at a loop or when they make a mistake that corrects it. This is what killers don't like about it. ITs not that it gets a lot of distance it gives you the distance you need when you need it. Its not like lithe or balanced landing where you need to have something available to proc it and hope you don't get hit while heading for the required area or can get to a safer area its literally "press e to outplay the outplay" or press e to reset the loop. Punishing killers for making good reads and correct plays by having dead hard procing when it needs to is bad design. It like saying a survivor stunned a killer at a pallet but they still got hit which is something I do want them to fix as a killer, this shouldn't happen.

i have never seen so many DH posts honestly i always thought the perk was fine since it is so easy to bait out in the open that it only does anything at tiles.

If you don't like Dead Hard, just use Unrelenting.
2 -
It's like they hate all exhaustion perks lately, not just Dead hard.
Sprint burst gets a lot of hate and I know killers also don't like lithe since lithe is kind of lowkey sleeper the best exhaustion perk.
But yeah guarantee it they just want all exhaustion perks to be nerfed drastically somehow for no reason and it's kind of sad like I don't feel this when I play killer lol

Killers might stop complaining once the new perk is in play. You know the one - "one foot in the grave" The survivor starts the game with one injured numb leg that leaves a glowing pool of blood in the shape of an arrow. The blood vanishes after 30 minutes. 😀
[I'm only kidding of course]
