Kindred is God tier

It’s probably the only perk in the game that I can’t live without. It just makes my solo experience so much better. I love knowing when I should go for the unhook and what direction the killer went in. It’s honestly so useful and I’m surprised I don’t see it more often. I love being altruistic and giving people back rubs with my Ashy Slashy. <3

Special shout-out to the people that sit on generators and leave me to go to struggle, even though they can see that the rest of the team are doing the same thing.

Kindred really is one of the most underrated perks in the game , people claim a swf makes it useless but I beg to differ I think the information it gives makes it definitely worth a perk slot for those that aren't used to running it.

I used to play with a friend, but she got tired of the game and moved onto other things, but even when I played with her I would use it. It’s still incredibly useful being able to know exactly where everybody is and if the killer is near the hook.

My current build is Iron Will, Spine Chill, Kindred and BT. As I want perks that help me and my team. I was using We’ll Make It, but I’ve noticed more killers staying near the hook recently or teammates looping the killer at the hook, so I switched to BT.

    Kindred is my baby. 😇

Kindred is literally a reverse BBQ & Chili on the killer.

    its soooo good!

That’s one of my favourite things about it. I love seeing a Spirit or Hillbilly looking in my direction and pulling a Houdini.

The only thing I’d like to change, is knowing if somebody else is using Kindred. Because if the person on the hook has Kindred and I do too, I have no way of knowing that the rest of the team are also seeing what I’m seeing. If that makes sense?

    I’m almost certain you can?....

If you’re running kindred, but the person hooked doesn’t, then the blue kindred icon doesn’t pop up near the perk icons... i think... doesn’t it?

It can be really good. It helps with trapper and hag and such a lot as well.

It's not as useful in solo queue as one would hope though; most folks don't act on the information correctly even when it's given to them freely. I wouldn't call it "god tier" but it's a solid perk.

Come to think of it, I think you’re right lol. I think it’s similar to when somebody is using We’ll Make It. I’ll double check the next time I’m playing. I’m almost certain that wasn’t the case when it first got changed. So maybe I just forgot they tweaked it.

I definitely would because of the information it gives me. I’ve had plenty of matches where somebody would have reached struggle state if I wasn’t running it and went to get them. I just like that it allows me to keep the team alive for longer. It’s definitely annoying when people leave you on the hook though, it just doesn’t make sense. But that’s online gaming in a nutshell. People are crazy lol.

Kindred is also really good at letting you know if a killer is using Insidious, you don't even know how many times I was smart enough to not go in Bubba's Basement with Insidious.

Kindred can also tell me who is a complete waste of my time. It’s aggravating seeing it activate first hook while I’m working on a gen only to see that one of the survivor auras is a Nea not even remotely close to the hook or the killer just crouching, doing nothing.

Bet your butt im probably not going to invest time helping/saving them.

It makes me laugh so much seeing Bubba just vanish behind the hooked survivor. I also have an evil giggle to myself when I see an unsuspecting survivor heading in for the save. #RIPMeg it was nice knowing you. 🤣

I was using Bond recently as that used to be my go to perk before the Kindred rework and sometimes I wish I couldn’t see what the survivors were doing. Or should I say, aren’t doing. We had one gen left yesterday and I was being chased all over the map by Freddy. I kept thinking “that last generator is going to pop anytime now” and then I ran past a Claudette crouched in a bush and an Ace hid near the exit gate. Sometimes I don’t know why I bother lol.

It doesn't work on stealth lol but I agree. It is a useful perk for info in solo q, I love it.

It actually makes me really angry when survivors don’t make 100% sure they know bubba is somewhere else first before going for a hook save (or identified all 4 perks the bubba is likely running, and can rule out insidious).

I just wish more survivors would presume every Bubba is running Insidious until proven otherwise.

If it’s a Bubba and the survivor is in the basement and I’m not using Kindred for whatever reason, I’m always so cautious. Plus, you can still hear his chainsaw, so I’m not sure why people still fall for it, unless they’re not playing with headphones. I sometimes go down just to point at him and then run away lol.

Kindred is absolutely fantastic- I remember unlocking it and just being blown away by how much it improves the solo experience! It has it's drawbacks, and sometimes it doesn't even matter, since you'll die first hook anyways without assistance, but in general it makes the experience wayyy smoother. Killer camping? Now you can see what they're doing and prepare accordingly. Need gens done? Great! Everyone can see what the other is doing and now there wont be hook-save confusion.

Now, of course, its worth is entirely dependent on how your team reacts, but overall it definitely is a great perk.

But please keep Ashly-Slashy away... please...

Kindred is not only the best solo queue perk in the game, but is also the only aura reading perk in the game that should be base-kit.

Cant agree more, I've said in a few different posts how Kindred is mandatory on Solo Q. I also highly rate Bond

IMO It is so good that it’s on the edge of OP, but people seem to underrate it. It provides so many informations to the users.

You know what killer you’re facing.

You know where the killer is heading.

You can make safe rescue every single time.

You know when your teammates are looping the killer.

You know what your teammates are doing, so you can make the best choice for the team.

You know which gens your teammates are doing.

Of course SWF gets it for free, but for solos, it is the best perk out there, but sadly it’s overshadowed by second chance meta..
