I have had to go against teams that all bring "Brand new part" and "prove thyself." - Needless to say, this is absolutely broken, and the fact that the game even allows something like this just goes to show there is absolutely nothing wrong with the killer Gen slow-down perks. They are a crucial element to have even the slightest chance at winning as a killer against a decent team.

Sad as it may sound, but I have their forum profile in a separate tab to have a look, during my lunch break, to what they are arguing next.

Correct it was a 10 minute game that you saw good indeed,but it was far from balanced and the 2k was purely because we made mistakes and I sacrificed myself.
But you're missing the point here, you complained about gen regression perks.
Use a stopwatch and start it as soon I can move and stop at the moment the last gen is complete.
You'll see it only took around 4 minutes to complete all 5 gens.
Which is happening more and more these days.
And this was (unlucky for him) done by 4 solo's who were just optimal on the gens.
The fact that it went on for 5 more minutes has nothing to do with the gen regression perk topic.
Elodie made a mistake which got her on a hook in the basement, I sacrificed myself trying to get her out as I don't care about escaping.
If i did he only got a 1k as we could have escaped whenever we wanted.
The fact some killers take a lot of gen defence perks with them is just for the fact that gen speeds are not balanced in any way.
That is way there are so many gen Defence on some killers just as a band-aid so the can have a bit more fun and multiple chases and hooks.
That is the whole reason and as long as the devs don't fix this issue this will continue.

Gen defense or slugging/camping/tunneling/NOED. Make your choice!

Ruin = slowdown GEN perk = break totem
Pop = slowdown GEN perk = split and work on different gen so you have a backup gen to work on
NOED = not a slowdown or a gen perk = cleanse all totems
Sloppy = not a slowdown or a gen perk = only heal when necessary
Out of 4 perks only 1 is really hard to face and it's Pop.

I mean, why NOT bring ruin and pop right? Ruin usually gets cleansed before the first hook so... When it lasts it's good and Pop is a good backup plan to WHEN ruin gets cleansed.

I just say that it's not necessary to bring DS/BT/DH/UB every god damn game! Just had 20 survivors in a row who bring atleast 3 second chance perks in one Trial. It's just spamming at this point.
The Devs need to look at when bringing more then one Second change perk and make sure that it's NOT Impossible to Play the game when you do.
It's like replacing skill as a perk.

Literally not possible to spam gen defense. Every single perk has a condition for it to be effective, many of which require interaction with survivors first.

first game i played today , vs a hillbilly, with bamboozle , purely abusing insta down and window block , and then he camps and tunnels and slugs everyone and forces down the fewer pallets left in the game.... i mean there is no way to win if he is good player with this build xD but thats part of the game, people run strong builds for obvious reasons killers want to kill survivors want to use dh/d/s/unbreak/resilience/selfcare, i mean most of these perks are almost better than any killer perk , maybe except bbq

Well, I get you but, first chase against a bamboozle Billy (veeeeeeery fun to go against since he's probably a m1lly) is a lose, every chase after that is on you to run to a safer loop if you hear his TR.
Yeah it gets boring and pre-leaving gens is really not the "optimall way" but against a bamboozle m1lly... It is what it is...
When I see a bamboozle Billy I always try to get in chase with him since I can, most of the times, run him for a lot of time, occasionally you'll find a really good one but, if it's a really good Billy you won't get that much even without bamboozle.

You know DS, borrowed time, soul guard, and unbreakable are all second chances? And for sure most survivors are running these. I would guess at least 25-50% of people use one of these perks, if not more

Yes having 3 people on a gen while having one person in chase gets the gen done way too fast without ruin or pop. I'd be down if survivors had nerfed DS while killers had a modified ruin.

You cant compare most of the playerbase to people who literally play this game as a 9-5. When otz gets 50 wins in a row its an impressive achievement because that takes an obscene level of commitment. Otz literally beat dark souls or whatever that crazy difficult game is without ever getting hit. Hes not a person hes a machine.
Not to say they dont have great commentary on aspects of the game but no way can you watch someone like that and say killer is easy.

In their defense, the so called "gen rushing perks" are more commonly used. I'll include corrupt intervention since it was failed to be mentioned. Killers complain about survivors using their gen rushing perks or stealth perks. Killers complain about survivors more than the other way around. Killer mains always cry about how survivors are OP but have never looked at the world from a survivors perspective. I am a survivor main and I also play killer for fun and bloodpoints. Killers are OP. Bottom Line.
