Please make toxic gameplay a ban-able offense

Okay I've completely had it with the toxicity in this game. Every other game I load in there is a toxic claudette tea bagging, body blocking, camping and what not.

It just sucks the fun out of the game because if I ignore them they'll just continue to be anoying and spam flashlights and firecrackers, rush vault over everything to give me a billion notifications etc.

If I chase them for some reason the entire teams seems to think it is 'funny' to join is this toxicity and do whatever they can to stop me from killing this disgrace of a 11 year old piece of [bad word].

Please is there anything I can do to prevent it because I want to enjoy playing this game but these players just make it impossible. Disconnecting is also not an option because it will result in me getting a penalty whilst survivors don't seem to get one because they DC like half of the time.

As much I as am against toxicness from both sides it is a bad idea and would never work. People would always find a way to be toxic even if you ban certain gestures they would invent other ones.

And what if someone does it accidentally? Bad idea.

It's the game that is made like that . Do you want bots playing ? If yes , go play an offline game ... it sounds like yay i saved my friend with a flashlight . 1 game later oops i m banned . Seriously ignore it . It s a part of the game . Each side can say anything is toxic , so overall starting the game is toxic.

Honestly every game outside of dbd has some level of toxicity. The problem with having generic toxicity being banable is that people will just constantly report people that annoy them no matter what. It would be very bad for the game if it got abused which it would

Surely this is a bait post? 10 posts and Freddy icon + name.

Unfortunately, every single multiplayer game has toxic players. The best you can do is ignore it.

That doesn't make sense. I have a Freddy icon because he is my all-time favourite character. Does that make my posts "baits"?

Must be difficult hitting the survivor when they are body blocking.

I don't see how that's possible. Define toxic?

do you even consider how complex and impossible that would be to police, considering it would require human oversight in every single case to be as accurate as possible? That's before considering the fact everyone's perception would be different of the same actions in gameplay, and that is before considering their personal opinion of what BM is is taken into consideration too. ######### is wrong with some of you people that complain about BM in this game way too much? I sometimes wonder if none of these kind of posts are even serious, because it's too childish and absurd for me to accept as a serious kind of whine. People have BM'd each other, both in friendly and unfriendly ways, since ######### pong even. Even thousands of years ago in ancient Egyptian soccer. Get over it and grow up. These younger generations are absolutely hopeless.

its too hard to define in the first place, let alone put a system in place to record this behavior

Who gets to decide what is toxic?

To me using flashlights is toxic, but they're a part of the game.

Your examples show the problem with that. I would never say bodyblocking a killer is toxic. So when you would make a list which things are toxic, everyone would make a different list.

I find it funny how my perspective on the game makes people this upset and somehow my having my favorite movie-character as an icon makes my posts bait?

all I’m saying is the survivor community of dbd is by far the most toxic community I’ve ever seen in any game. And the fact that they’re getting away with it is what triggers me. And to see people saying “just hit body blocking survivors” well yes but actually no. I hit 1 they run away 2 more are blocking me by the time I’ve hit every douchebag the survivor has escaped I’m stunned and they’re all healed up because thank god for self care + medkit combo. Sure you can try to report them later on but it’s gonna take a whole lot of reports before someone gets banned.

and like I said ignoring them isn’t an option half of the time because they’ll just proceed to make as much noise as possible making it impossible for me to effectively track other noise based information. (That’s a major issue given the fact that this game is very sound oriented)

so the devs have to either come up with a solution to effectively get people who abuse the game mechanics banned or find a way to make abusing game mechanics impossible/hard to do, remove collision in close proximity to hooks and small spaces for example. Because I am well aware that there are some killers who use body blocking too.

I think the devs could make a list of behavior that is not allowed in game.?

i don't see why anything you do in game besides obviously hacking or refusing to progress the game so it can end should be bannable.

you got t-bagged? man up dude it's a game and if anything survivors doing that helps you since they could have gotten more distance if they were not so full of themselves.

I'm sorry, but considering it hasn't happened yet it's pretty clear it's not gonna happen. They've explicitly states things that should not be reported as it's not against any rules, and it includes stuff like tbagging, flashlight clicking, camping, tunneling, forced bleedouts, bodyblocking and people calling you bad/"tame" trash talk in general.

I'm by no means saying "just don't be annoyed LOL it's easy :)" because even though I personally don't care about any of that stuff I totally understand why people get annoyed by it. But there is an unavoidable element of "gonna have to just deal with it" involved, as again the devs have gone out of their way to not only refrain from punishing such actions, they've gone out of their way to specify they are not reportable actions.

teabagging does not bother me very much this happens in every game. It is the abusing of game mechanics and desperately trying to get the killers attention and then trolling him for as long as they can. Neither am I saying I lose games because of it 9/10 times trolling results in getting killed it is just annoying. Because more often than not Claudettes will trigger the [bad word] out of you their team will try to save them for reasons far beyond my understanding resulting in getting themselves killed. The Claudette then proceeds to find the hatch camp there till their team is dead and dip after which they 9/10 times will salt message you.

I’ve found that as I get higher in ranks this becomes more problematic I am currently a rank 3 killer and it is almost impossible to enjoy a normal game without survivors being overly annoying or just flat out toxic.

and then .. and then he kept crouching and standing repeatedly and using his flashlight to make noises!!! SOMEONE BAN HIM PLEASE I CAN'T TAKE IT!

the game can't detect that and the devs won't support a system where people post video evidence to get people banned for being toxic not to mention being toxic isn't even well defined in this game.

what your asking for just won't happen since the game won't be able to detect toxic things done deliberately and no one is going to pay someone to look through a ton of videos of toxic behavior that isn't even well defined in the first place.

You are going to wish for those flashlight clicking, body blocking, "toxic" behavior survivors once you start facing those that just do gens and leave as fast as possible.

Or just not let yourself be bothered by it.

Shoutout to the shy, awkward Blendette's who just want to unhook, heal, and do gens.

Banning toxic behaviour would be cool, but also way too hard to define what that is. Everyone has different definitions, and I'm sure the devs do too. Cool in theory, but not practical. Though I do think toxic behaviour in chat should be enough to ban someone if they threaten you or are racist or homophobic or anything of the sort

Play some Smite. That's toxic... Ranked is the most toxic experience I ever had. Or non ranked games are also very very toxic.

If teabagging and Flashlights/Firecrackers are you biggest problem with this game you need to try to play something else lol. Teabaggers 90% of the time get way too confident and are an easy kill. Flashlight clickers are easy to ignore, and for blinds just look at a bloody wall. As someone who usually runs a flashlight it's insane to see how many killers don't do simple things like that.

Also, there are a ton of perks to run to counter people like this. STBFL being one of the best one for bodyblockers. Run that, get some stacks and trust me, dont try to bodyblock for long. And if the do, you'll get some hits on them

Stop complaining and find a way to play with it.
