Reward Survivors For Being Camped On Hook
Anyone who's ever played survivor can probably agree having the killer sit there and stare at you until you die is exhausting. Fine. Camping is a valid play strategy. I'm not going to argue this fact because I'm aware it's considered a valid strategy. What I am going to bring up is how frustrating it is to be that player on that hook.
What reason does a survivor have to let the killer camp them? As someone that plays SWF consistently, I can say that I don't mind sitting on a hook, accepting my inevitable demise for my friends. But I can say in the same breath that when I solo queue I'd rather not waste my time for a bunch of strangers when I'm getting nothing out of it other than seeing my teammates do objectives(in a perfect world).
Not to mention the fact that being camped all but guarantees depips and only the bloodpoints you managed to get before you were hooked.
My idea is basic. There needs to be rewards for survivors sitting on a hook determined by proximity to killer. The emblems for killers are deducted for camping. Emblems for survivors should be rewarded. a "Proximity to killer" emblem addition alongside BP in the form of something like distraction points for the killer staying next to your hook. Obviously, this is a baseline concept for what it could be but the fact of the matter is there is no reason to stay camped on the hook unless you're choosing to be a good samaritan. There's no real incentive to do so. Most solo queue players are going to choose death rather than staying alive.

Bad idea. Rewarding survivors for going down. It won't help people improve.

You say with a one hit killer as your pic

As a red rank survivor. And btw Myers has no anti loop and you have to stalk people to get that one hit. Play survivor more before complaining about weak killers.

I agree to some extent. The idea could use work, but basically what you want is some sort of compensation for being unable to do anything but be hooked and watched to die a slow death. Perhaps the emblem could be called "Sacrificial Lamb" because while the killer is camping you, the other survivors go unhindered by his/her stalking.
I personally think it's a bit ridiculous that a survivor only gets a 4% chance to try and unhook themselves.

I'm assuming your'e a killer main who wants people to give up on hook for easier games based on this comment.
I agree with OP. Currently, there's zero incentive for staying on the hook if you're being camped. If you're in solo, there's literally no reason to stay. I won't sit on a hook and let randoms do gens because there's nothing in it for me.

Nice assumption. I actually played a lot more survivor than killer and currently I am mostly playing survivor. If you don't believe me I can prove it to you.

and being facecamped either

If you get punished for going down, next time you will try to avoid that as much as you can so you will improve.

To understand why this idea is important for health of the game, you need to realise that the reason why face camping is effective is not only because survivors often start rushing the hook, but also because camped survivors just suicide on the hook. You won't get more points, you won't get emblems.
While i agree that survivor shouldn't receive any emblems, in my opinion he should receive a bp reward for staying on the hook.
Not for getting downed, but for buying their team time, by staying on the hook.
Just as when you take a bullet for someone, you are not a hero because you took a bullet, but because you saved someone. If it would be the other way around, anyone, who shoots himself would be a hero.

But you do get points for being on the hook. After struggle phase ends you're given "struggle points." Usually a little under 1000 points.

- You get points only for the second half of the sacrifice, so you can try escaping from the hook and then getting points, which honestly isn't a bad idea, considering how long can be que times.
- You will get these points no matter if you get camped or not, so id does not give sensitivity, that you are doing something, while being camped by the killer.
The easiest way is to do so, that you get 5k points total, if you are being camped and they should be shared between categories. 1k for objective as distraction, 1k for struggle, 1k for boldness and something else.
Why 5k? Because it would tell you, that helping your team as a person, who stays on the hook, is equal to value as a person, who escapes.

shouldnt reward them but it should atleast guarantee them a black pip
