What does everyone think of the new hud?

if I were to say my own opinion I think they should have put the survivors under the gens so it was like the old hud but it feels newer. Honestly though if I had to rate it I would give it a 7/10

It's weird and caters to stream cams. I miss the old HUD.

KStill dont like score events in the top right and should be moved to above survivor portraits

Worse than old, better than 4.5.0, still needs work. Would prefer portraits to be horizontal on bottom instead of vertical up the side. At very least if they are going to have them vertical they should have them start from the bottom instead of items since they take up more FOV and will always be there unlike items. Items/power don't need to be so big, kind of ridiculous that the item/power icons look nearly twice the size of the portraits that have way more important issues. Wish they'd make the portraits the Adept pics or atleast grey scale. Also wish they'd put in the flashing bar when downed survivor is being healed or carried because that was super helpful to solo q. Would also like scoring events lowered instead of popping up in the top corner.

With how much space the new HUD takes up on a screen I'm worried about what they plan to add, how much more of the screen will be covered now that the HUD is spread out rather than neatly compact at the bottom.

It's better but I sure hope they'll keep working on it into the future.

I still don't like it. The old HUD was way better.

Why not keep that and add only the char portraits in. That was good enough.

It’s a better version of that last one we got, but I still miss the old hud. The devs didn’t fix the issues this new hud had where everything isn’t aligned properly. I have OCD and that really messes with my head.

Old one was way better, besides the addition of character porraits and number of hooks for survivor

I like it. The hook counter (killer side) is useless, but it's out of the way. I like the ability to resize, and I can actually see and read the names and score points without squinting

it is bad and will always be bad until they show us what they are going to do with it. So i guess it will suck for the next 3 years until a colour change or extra survivor only status icon is added.

Better than 4.5.0, worse than the old one. Wish they could add those adept images as portraits.

Mainly for killers: The HUD (mainly on the left side) covers quite a large part of the screen, and could make it more difficult to notice hiding survivors. This HUD is basically giving you a lower FOV (field of view). So I think the HUD should move completely to the bottom of the screen, or move to the top, but leave the sides empty.

Also I think 4.5.1 was not that bad, you could get used to it, 4.5.2 is worse IMO. The original was the best however.

Old HUD will always be superior. There was nothing wrong with it at all and didn't need to be changed. The information was compact and easy to see with the newer HUDs, the information is scattered and they even got rid of the words like "find exit gates" or "repair generators" and all it has is just small icons. How am I supposed to see that?

Even though they put "months" of work into the HUD, they need to revert it...it's not healthy for the game.

It’s fine for the most part. I don’t like the opaque blood bars, and the icon that appears after you finish gens that tells you to escape is annoying when you are trying to tell who has escaped and who is still in the match.

I prefer this hud than the old one. It's easier on my eyes. And after years of playing this game, it's slightly refreshing.

It's much better than the first rework and with a few tweaks could even be better than the original. There's a few things I would change:

    - Allow us to order the perks as we want, being random serves absolutely no purpose

    - Make the power/item add ons smaller and stack them on top of each other, like before. They are too big and being side by side is a waste of space

    - When you're playing survivor the escape objective icon is right below all the portraits, so upon quick glance I often think a survivor has already escaped. Not a big deal, but it would be nice to differentiate it more

It's better than before. I'm sure the devs have a good reason for the survivor icons being vertical instead of horizontal (got my fingers crossed for a ping system)

My biggest complaint is power/item + addon icons being too big. Like, I know what killer/item and add ons I brought with me. I don't need so big reminder. Also if you don't bring anything into the trial as survivor, there's this awkward and huge gap at bottom left. I'd much rather they switched generator count + hook counter with power/items.

I dislike scoring events being in top right as well.

I just miss the old HUD.

They should revert tothe old one, only instead having the actual survivor image. I really liked the old one. the one before this one was weird but still less practical. The fuss around the one before this new one was crazy, it was as if it was an extreme change to an extremely competitive game with an actual fully working MMR system

Information on it doesn't flow well at all. They should've just left it alone and added the Hook amounts to the old HUD. There was never any need to change it.

Scoring Event placement is terrible, everything feels somewhat washed out against the background, trying to keep track of what's going on with my fellow Survivor's while also paying attention to effects on me and what Perks are active is messy, and with the brightness of all the maps now (at least since the last time I played) gen counts are actually difficult to notice at times.

Just because it's better doesn't mean it's good. Just like in school. Your class isn't the best because you or your classmates are smart. It's because the other classes have literal reetards.

I agree with the majority of the people here, better than the 4.5.0 HUD, but there are a couple of issues:

There is no apparent need to keep survivor portraits vertical, they took way too much space compared to the old UI and the health bars for hooked/slugged survivors is too small

From a survivor point of view, the fact that if you don't have an item you have a big hole at the bottom left is annoying, because everything could be shifted lower

While I do enjoy seeing the character portraits next to the player names I think they should use the assets from the adepts for the images as they would fit the aesthetic so much better.

I prefer the old HUD, but I got used to it after one or two games.

It has problems, but the one that I feel was the biggest was the fact that BHVR went through with the 4.5.0 HUD after all of the backlash it received to begin with. I got used to that quickly too, but it was not a good look for them.

UI looks better than before but definitely not better than the old UI. How I'd fix this:

    1. Fix the organization. I know they did this, but it still looks wacky. Make the generator and hook counter icons equally in size so that they don't look uneven, and there, done.
    2. Replace the survivor portraits with the adept survivor icons. They'd honestly fit the UI way more. The new injured status indicator can stay though.
    3. Put the bloodpoint notifications at the same place it used to be, aka the far right. It's hard to notice the notifications when everything is at the bottom left.

And that's about it. I'm fine with the vertical survivor icons because it might be a bit too hard to make it horizontal with the way they changed it now.

It's better than it was afger the patch I guess, but I still don't know why they changed it in the first place. No one was complaining about old hud, yet they felt compelled to change it for no reason.

Better than 4.5.0, worse than the old HUD.

A hook counter and portraits are nice additions, but ultimately weren't needed.

If you play survivor with no item, there is a ton of wasted space and score events are awful.

They should really go with adept portraits and go back to horizontal layout, as there is no good reason for the HUD to cover that much valuable space (Like c'mon, it's a "horror" game, we need good visibility).

This one completely lacks personality, and I severely hope they let us customize in the future.

    bad, but less bad.
