Hacker perk based on the new Chapter
I was thinking of an idea for a Survivor perk based on the themes of hacking and glitches from the new chapter teasers.
Bait and Switch
Hiding your true intentions has allowed you to succeed.
While working on a generator, its visual appearance and audio cues only reflect half of its actual progress.
This effect lingers for 6/8/10 seconds after stopping repairing a generator.

That’s a pretty fun perk to use.

10 seconds is too short to have any kind of impact. Especially since all this perk would do is make it appear the gen has less progress, but the killer can still kick it.

Maybe an alternative would to make the gen appeared to have a lot of progress but really it wasn’t worked on much.

Could be something to do with a toolbox. If you have the perk and repair normally, the gen appears to have not much progress, but if you used a toolbox on the gen it appears to have way more progress than it actually does.

This is almost exactly what my idea for a reworked Red Herring would be. Its just seems like it would be a fun and unique concept for a perk, and I would love to use it even if it wasn't very strong.

It would be so damn oppressive. It must have a cooldown, like, 60s, or a recharge and active button plus last for 30/45/60 seconds, like Repressed Alliance.
