on a serious note ive heard the playerbase in Asia is pretty small and the South Korean playerbase in particular is tiny, maybe they're hoping to bring in more people from that area with this chapter?

Oh, without a doubt it would. BLACKPINK is the 2nd most subscribed to artist on YouTube iirc, behind Justin Bieber, so it would bring in a shitton more people, but considering how k-pop is, naturally, pretty popular in Korea then there'd be a lot of people brought in from those reigons too.

My theory is: this survivor got involved in an accident / was kidnapped / worked for someone and then got betrayed.
I think her story will be similar to Kate's lore, about how she suddenly disappeared in the fog.
Maybe the killer will complete her lore completely and make this chapter more unique than ever.

It looks a lot like she's a singer or something. Lets look at the info...
The silhouette of the woman's head has a different colored shine like the lights of a stage. Magnum Opus means masterpiece right? Maybe its a new song she made or something.
The logo going around says Mighty 1 Entertainment, and the message with the coffee cup says 'Been working all night', performers usually work at night.
And the body shot shows an outfit that i think only a performer would wear, with the message saying 'Feeling it' with a fire and explosion emoji. This could mean she's on fire and explosive with popularity
It looks like she's some kind of performer that works with this Mighty 1 Entertainment.
Or maybe its something completely different, i'm just throwing it out there.

Maybe thats the killer though.. everyones assuming this is the survivor, well why couldnt it be a killer? Someone super well known in the entertainment industry thats just a bit lost in the head and takes fans backstage to have that fan never seen or heard from again.

whether it's the killer or survivor they are teasing, personally I feel kinda annoyed by them right. Can't put my finger on why, but something 'bout them has the potential to attract the same kind of toxics that nea and bubba attract.
EDIT: been thinking about it, and the reason things annoyed me was because the impression I was under was that of the new character being one of those pretentious h4xx0r-kiddies, but I believe I was wrong, so... let's see what we'll get.

Fair. But thinking about spirits teaser and how tons of people thought the chick would be the survivor, and it ended up being spirit instead. All im saying is that the community has been incredibly wrong and thrown off before.. multiple times.. lol

I mean a new survivor. The outfit the model has on doesn’t suit anyone’s lore that we already have in the game. And plus, most cosmetics that are soon to be released usually get leaked by other players and not by the devs themselves.
