Estimations for how the new killer's power is going to be dumbed down

It features a track of music getting rewound, which a lot of people are assuming it relates to the killer's ability to possibly rewind time. It's an interesting idea to be sure. But sadly interesting ideas have a habit of getting scrapped due to development time... (Demogorgon was going to walk around in the upsidedown with lights in the real world to signal where they were. And Deathslinger was considered to use his harpoon gun as a grapping hook to traverse the map).
So place your bets now. Assuming the next killer's power is time related, how will it be grossly simplified once actually in the game?

Reverse spirit. You basically phase back to some location you were 5 seconds (or some other time period) ago.

I think the ability will be sound based. It seem like time manipulation would be too ambitious for the devs
