One of those is intentionally going out of their way to make the other one miserable, whereas the other just wants to complete an actual objective.

Neither are toxic, but both are very annoying for the other side. I personally hate going against Trapper when he has his best add ons equipped, and I imagine (I don't play Trapper) it must be quite frustrating to constantly have your traps disarmed, even if means there are probably only 2 people on gens at the time you are chasing someone.

It is so rare to trap survivors that it isn't really worth spending bp on him because they all just magically know where my traps are.

Friends are fine. The ones having a laugh and probably know each other irl from the same country.
Strangers from a large group on steam based around dbd and dishing out information in an organised way with clear intentions isn't as easy to justify.
