So just got done seeing the debate between Otz and Tru3
I'll be surprised if two of the biggest Fog Whispers coming together for a podcast to talk about how they feel with the current state of the game and countless other things, isn't seen or acknowledged by any of the devs. Because while I was watching they found stuff to agree with and things to disagree with, also both proposed ideas that can be good for the game. Tru3 said he'll have it uploaded to his channel, and Otz will most likely be doing the same. I can only hope that someone on the dev team can see it, because this is the opportunity to get an understanding of how your game truly is from the perspective of two of your biggest Fog Whispers.

Same. Was a great 2 hour discussion covering a lot of things.

The way it ended so amicably with shared laughs and understanding each other's view point was weirdly heart warming. I missed most of it, but I'm looking forward to seeing the conversation in it's totality on Youtube, as I think Otz is uploading it.

" fog whisperers are just marketing" seen a mod post that here so I doubt they will acknowledge or watch it.
12 -
yeah but the message of all of us coming together the fog whispers and the community could convince the devs still stands
6 -
Did they agree on anything in particular regarding game changes that should be made or tested ?
1 -
Is there a VOD?
0 -
Im excited to watch it when I can
0 -
They agree that the Devs need to release frequent tests to perks or ideas like they did with bloodlust.
Problem is that they won't thanks to console.
8 -
otz is going to make it into a youtube video soon

It was very wholesome, I think Otz managed to change Tru3's viewpoint of how he thinks about certain things. Maybe it might convince me to start watching Tru3 again, I just hope he stops throwing shade at certain people now.
5 -
That's a reason why certain people don't care about being a Fog Whisperer

My hot take its to guys that love this game want to improve it both hearts are in the right place and I hope the devs will give these guys the opportunity to give their thoughts and improve the health of the game.
I really admire the fact they didn't agree but bounced ideas off each other about improvements for dbd.
I just hope this is a positive thing for us as a community and will help to shape this game for the better!

I do believe tru3 said he'd be posting up the discussion on his YouTube I don't know about otz tho 🐷💖 if you want the time to get it on twitch the debated happened around 5pm UK time hope that helps
2 -
Also would like to state keep this thread positive do not bash either of them they don't deserve it!
Let's use this as a community to help both streamers to offer up healthy changes for both sides 🐷💖
we can do this and be respectful to the devs the streamers and the mods on the forum and each other
🐽👈💞

I don't think the community influences balance decisions a whole lot, unfortunately. The devs seem pretty stubborn in their thinking that nobody could possibly understand the game as much as them. But then you hear and see wild stuff like Billy's overheat, or comments they make, and it becomes clear they're wildly out of touch with the game at the highest levels of play but really confident/arrogant about it at the same time.
14 -
lol these guys sat there debating the balance of the game and how it should be played meanwhile I'm just chilling with my tombstone piece waiting for the 1 hit 1 kill shortcut to victory.
2 -
I'm showing my age but i remember when people were allowed to disagree and have a conversation with differing view points, all while hanging around with each other without getting into brawls.
The current my way or no way mentality is damaging everything in this world. Seriously.

They could try to do more with the PTB though.I'm sure there would be a lot of people willing to try some changes
1 -
As nice as it was I honestly don't think this will push the devs to do anything. They've been doing surveys for a long while now and it doesn't seem like much has come from those and that is the devs directly asking us things.
3 -
I might check it out then, I didn't appreciate Tru3's demeanor before but this would probably change my opinion of him for the better. I'll have to look into it when they upload it.

Me as a chill survivor waiting with open hands tombstone me plz 💖 love being moried too much 😂

100% agreed. One of the reasons this was so refreshing, I think.
3 -
As a console player I don't get to try the ptb but if they added slight changes in as suggested for you pc players to test I'd be very happy and will watch streams to see what effect those changes do 🐷💖
2 -
I'm a console player too lol.
They really should use the PTB more for testing some changes

Here is the debate if anyone would like to watch it. It was very enjoyable, IMO.

The biggest thing that came out of this is that im convinced that bhvr should do summit of some sort with all the top content creators and players like bungie did with destiny. When bungie did that it lead to quite a few things changing in the game that were wanted by the community.
1 -
They literally can tho, as shown by the Bloodlust experiment.
Overwatch and PUBG have Console PTB's and testing grounds. It isn't impossible.
1 -
Wonder if dbd could take a overwatch way and just make a experimental thing.

Part 2.
2 -
Yep. Fog whisperers is a joke, some of them that play now are toxic and bully lower rank killers for fun and content. And it used to be worse, a certain one admitted to DCing to depip in order to get lower rank killers, another one got banned for Mori griefing etc. Otz and True are fine but more than a fair few on the list are a poor representation of DBD. Overall they should be held to higher standard, something BHVR has failed to do.
2 -
It's called Illiberal Liberalism and I agree. The idea that I have my opinion (usually left wing therefore termed liberal) but if you disagree you're wrong and it doesn't matter what or how you say it you're wrong (which is technically totalitarianism, forcing your view on someone without choice, the exact opposite of the liberalism tje above example is fighting for in the first place)

I mostly agree with Otz here but he should be better at listening and not interrupt so much. But pretty good discussion overall.
1 -
It does seem that the left is becoming the monster it hates.
I am more conservative and there are many who won't listen to my beliefs, not because they are bad or wrong, but because i voted orange man bad.
It really is a sad thing that friendly debate is no longer encouraged.

There is honestly pretty little incentive to be chased in solo Q. Some maps are empty, you might be left to die on hook, you might get camped, the killer might be running something OP, etc etc. Solo Q is more akin to a battle royal than a team game.
The emblem system is broken for a ton of killers. Legion can pip with a 1k, plague will struggle to pip even with 3-4ks. So i don’t know why people like true use it as a metric of success.
And bottom line, you could get 5 hooks and 4 kills; or you could get 9 hooks and 1 kill. But you will still get teabagged x3 at the exit gate.

Both are hardcore killer mains, and hardly ever lose as killer. Nothing much else to say. Good streamers though.
0 -
Don’t think you could be more wrong. Very good at killer, yes. But mains? They both play survivor quite a lot.
2 -
Doesn't change that they are killer mains. I play killer quite a bit but I'm hardly a killer main. I'm a survivor main through and through.
0 -
If you play 50/50, which I know Tru3 does but am unsure if Otz does, how could you be a main of either? You main a side if you play it quite a bit more than the other.
1 -
Just listen what he says and you know that this "I play both sides"-stuff is simply to hide his bias.
1 -
Because he has an opinion that favors one side more means he’s biased and mains that particular side? I could play killer exclusively and believe that survivor needs a buff to gen speeds. Does that make me biased for survivors?
