Key change SOONER not later!
Just had a match where they had one gen left. I walked around for like ten minutes from one gen to the other, and got nothing. Turns out, one had a key, and they all were spending that whole time locating hatch! Only got 1k, all the rest escaped through hatch.
Ridiculous that this is even an option. The key should be a last resort for the last person only. Nerf the crap out of it.

Same goes for DS. The perk can't be nerfed soon enough, but they're taking their sweet time with it naturally.

I have no problem with keys I use them myself even bring plunderers to hopefully get one occasionally however I only use it if my potatoe teammates 3 gen us because they can't be bothered to go across map to ensure it stays equal on both sides even then I rarely allow them to escape with me if I hate my team and want to escape I'm gonna do what I can to survive.

I'll believe it when I see it. The change was revealed like 2 patches ago, and I'm still getting punished for tunneling 2 and 3 people at once somehow. They're dragging their feet on survivor nerfs once again.

I prefer they take their time with nerf or rework. They announced it will happen, so all we need to be is patient. No need to rush this or pressure them.

On the contrary, I'm a 1/2-1/2er. I'm in a lobby now as a survivor. Survivors have it easy. People who say "killer is easy!" have never actually played killer. Killer isn't near as easy as survivor. But it shouldn't be as easy.

I main survivor because of how bad killer is I used to do half and half until matchmaking messed up and now I get put with ranks way higher than myself and even I can admit keys aren't that big of a deal I think killers are just salty that we can stop their 4k by escaping early.

If you know how bad killer is, why would you want to keep something that makes the game even worse for them?
Keys are ridiculous in addition to every other tool survivors get in their toolkit. Half the ######### they have shouldn't be as strong as it is.
You literally just admitted indirectly you want an easy game by saying killers are mad they don't get their 4k's. What, they should have a harder time so you can have it easier? Seriously?

No because a key is a rare item most of my keys I have found in chests and escaped with I rarely see keys in the BW and when I do bring my own key get tunneled so personally it's a I found it I should be allowed to use it scenario kinda like killers they find a survivor they kill said survivor and I mainly use them if I'm being tunneled and I found it in a chest that's fair game.

Huh. I constantly get keys in my BWs on all my survivors. I have them stockpiled LOL
as killer, if they find keys in a chest, that's different IMO.
If they made it so keys were only in chests and not the bloodweb, I'd be far less against it.

It should also take skill to use or have a point threshold before being able to use on hatch so players who haven't really contributed in all areas in the match don't just get free escape because they hid while their teammates did everything.

Why should keys be nerfed when its possible for killer to hold the game hostage with 3 gens?

That's not holding the game hostage at all. If the last three gens are really close together, the survivor's should have planned better, looked at the generators and fixed them to make sure they're far apart.
If you don't see anything wrong with an entire team (who is already doing well, i.e. only two gens left and only one dead) can just leave without putting in the work to power up gates, simply because they had a common enough item and just happened to trip over hatch, then you're just plain delusional.

But if three genned that's not the killers fault and holding game hostage? The killer is doing their job if survivors too scared to at least try to get the three gens that is on them.

I wish keys would change somewhat soon because I'd like to be able to equip them for aura reading without being tunneled.

Yeah they kinda also announced we´d get some sort of early game mechanic, that slowed the pace down.
That idea kinda went out of the window. We´ll see something similar with the key nerf.

Well as long as it has the same goal to help out the killer in the early game, it didn't go out the window. The core idea will always remain the same. Just the way they want to reach that goal changed.

They literally specified on stream that the DS Nerf was coming with chapter 19.

If they nerf keys I hope they don't nerf their addon capability. I'd finally be able to use a key for the obsession ring or the blood amber or the gold token without being tunneled. Give the broken key a different appearance and make it stronger at least.

I have cracked 3 gens and beaten those set ups before doctor with og ruin 3 gen trapper with a fortress setup I cracked that. Survivors have to acknowledge one of them will die and have to take the obscene risk of pushing these gens. If you cower and hug a good loop then your the problem. Step up risk your life to combat the 3 gen. 3 gens only work if you choose to take it slow and play for your own survival. The map where a 3 gen is obscenely unfair is bad map design and unfortunatly moris which also combated bad map design (hi haddonfield, current 60 pallet game map.). They still shouldn't exist.
