Early game changes do you think are needed? ( survivor spawns on gens)
Right there is a common complaint and it is true, where by the time you get your first down, you have probably lost 2 gens. it happens all the time unless your using certain perks like corrupt/ruin etc. it just takes a while to get that first down because you spawned on the opposite side of a map to the survivors so you lose about maybe 30 seconds just walking over there, then u have every gen up its impossible to defend gens and chase mulitple people at the same time, plus every pallet is up at the start obs.
You can literally start working on a gen almost instantly and progress the objective as a survivor, but the killer cant.Im not asking for killers to spawn right next to survivors because that wouldnt be fair either, but i think some kind of change where survivors wont just spawn directly ontop off a gen or a slower spawn onto the map off some kind can stop this feeling of being helpless as a killer at the start of a match.
thats why so many (including myself ) use some kind of gen regression perks. im not the best killer or survivor but as a killer if u dont get a down fast at the start, your probably gonna have a rough mid-late game. if survivors are aggressive on the gens, your not getting 12 hooks by the time the other 3-4 gens get done lol.
thats why i feel like i need to play boring at times and be an ASS to create pressure like slugging or tunneling survivors. i dont do this at the very start of a match, if i down somebody fast i leave them and go protect a gen but if like 4 survivors are alive and i have 1-2 gens left, im sorry i kinda need to create that pressure and take somebody out fast, thats just how it is.
Another reason why u dont see certain killers often, because they already have a slow early game, its not fun when u see 2-3 gens popped and you only just got yourself up and running, prepared for the match aka trapper, michael myers etc.
so what do you think, do you think spawns are fine as the way they are? do u feel like you spawn directly ontop off a gen in most cases or isit not that much? would you welcome a change in early game?

lol make corrupt's effect baseline, but only for 30 seconds without the perk and on one less generator ... or what others suggested (possibly too complex for behavior though) rummaging through chests with an extra 2 or 3 on the map and generator parts are randomly placed in a couple or few chests to create slight delays before gens start getting slammed. even just one single part needing to be found immediately solves the issue with some matches spawning 2 or 3 if not all survivors near multiple gens they immediately begin working on. If they are run off of them, that's time needed to travel tot hem with a great deal of progress on them, time spent kicking them all, just way too much free time immediately thrown into progress on multiple generators giving a big headstart. that's the main issue, if that is handled well, then it's up to the killer once they get a chance to get moving to keep them off the rest of the game. that is the reason why corrupt is so good outside of needing time to set up traps.

Maybe aura reveal of all survivors for 10-15s? Killer can still only go for one and survivors will have this knowledge and split up or not work on a gen in front of them.

You know those crows on swamp that you can hear across the map? Put them where the survivors spawn and that would cause a first chase much faster

Well early game is an issue, I think most everyone agrees with that. Not sure what happened to the early game collapse type mechanic that the devs said was coming...over a year ago now? Just spitballing here but it feels like a millennia ago and I think they dropped it by this point. Something does need to be done about the early game. Ideally a secondary objective as that would not only slow the early game down but also do it in a more fun way for the survivors.

Everyone knows early game is in a miserable state, especially with certain Killers. I wish they had spent resources addressing this instead of the UI or animations...

I think at this point it would just feel forced if the devs implement something against the genrush. It would feel like pandering to the complaining killer mains and they would not implement it because they really wanted it but because they were pressed to do it.

yeah I think something to change early game/overall feel of genrush is needed, but not on the expense on the survivor side, but to also make survivor gameplay more interesting.

Because the killer's complaints are completely unjustified and the game is based entirely around the survivor's fun.
Reading what I just said out loud, that's actually a really good way to explain the dev's viewpoint on their own game.

i guess so but wouldnt every match then have survivors using calm spirit or some kind of immersed perk?
what did they say exactly? i dont think i was paying any attention to that so i missed it.

They haven't said anything about it being cancelled yet, we just haven't heard anything about it in ages.
