Roaching (for lack of a better term)
Roaching is what I'm calling it. There's probably a more known term for this.
But I'm talking about when you kick a generator to start regression, which takes a few seconds for the killer, and then a hidden survivor simply taps the gen, and stops it from regressing.
Considering how much time it takes a killer to start that regression, and considering how little it actually regress', this mechanic seems rather unfair. In fact, unless i have overcharge, i don't even bother kicking a gen.
What is everyones thought on this? I personally think that any broken gen should require at LEAST a basic skill check to stop regression. Yes, a basic check is super easy, but if I'm standing there or chasing a survivor, they can't just run by the gen and tap it to stop regression. (mid chase!)

I agree its annoying1

I personally think they should buff regression and have it so it regresses by 5% each time it gets kicked and add a second of working on it to stop the regression and to be able to make progress again. Like Ruin when you hit a good skill check the progress bar pauses for a second then continues. Also, Pop goes the weasel should have the timer removed. It should work like Deliverance where once you hook a person you get rewarded with a 30% regression kick on a generator of your choice.Agreed on Pop. At the very least it needs 5-10 seconds added to it, for the average killer to use it.
edit: Upon further thought, the extra 5% regression might be a good choice too. It would prevent them from just retapping the gen right after you break it, and instead make them need to wait until the area is at least safe.

Overcharge is the best counter for it i guess. Perhaps they could rework this so that survivor has to interact with a generator continuously for 3-5 seconds before repairs can start.

It just feels bad that you have to take a perk to counter something that shouldn't even exist.

Speeding up the kicking animation and increasing the regression rate should do the trick.0

I don't see this as a problem.
If they come out to stop the regression then they're exposing themselves, that's your chance. Kick a generator, walk away, then come back a few seconds later. If they do it mid chase then they are slowing themselves down (regardless of how small of a slowdown this can mean). You should be focusing on downing them, going back to kick the generator, then picking up the survivor.
Killers have a lot of issues that still need to be fixed but I don't see this as one of them. This just seems nitpicky, scraping the bottom of the barrel for lack of better words.

This isn't nitpicky, this is the core of a killers ability to slow the game down without any other perks and tends to get exploited by very good survivors. And can make a very large impact on the game by people that know what they are doing.
