Killers wont stop whining about DS until it literally does nothing. A change that harsh on the perk, and people are still whining that it's too strong. It's your fault for tunneling in the first place. It's understandable to be annoyed when every survivor on the team has the damn perk. But bitching when its used at all is childish. Nobody should be punished because the killer is rage tunneling 1 guy into oblivion and they're forced to loop the entire game or get blasted to hell. Can we suggest some actually balanced changes instead of making survivors more helpless?
Inb4 this gets dismissed as bait by killer mains and they proceed to complain that "new ruin is bad" still.

No one is "whining" about how it will still be too strong after the nerf, cause it will be really a anti tunneling perk. The only ones who are crying about the nerf are those that don't know how to play without the 60 seconds of invincibility

The new DS is far from strong, I can only see it working in about 10% of games if that. It’s gonna be a wasted perk slot but at the same time it might just be needed to have an obsession in the game

You are right. I'm just mainly making this post after seeing all the changes to DS and killers whining it wasn't nerfed more.
I couldn't think of any good examples of survivors whining. Only times i encountered survivors complaints is against spirit and/or NOED.
(Which were also directed at me)

I've seen both sides whine a ton. On the first few pages of the forum, if it isn't discussing the new chapter and things associated with it, there's a good chance it's complaining about SWF, or any of the Killer's people don't like. Undying was nerfed (as it should've been) less than three months after the perk was released, and there was a ton of whining on the forums.
Both sides just don't want the other to have useful things. It's as simple as that. IMO, both DS and Undying should've been nerfed. Undying was nerfed, now DS is getting nerfed.

Most killer mains that I know are happy with the proposed change to Decisive, I think it's also going to be much healthier for the game and definitely a lot less abusable than it is now.

I don't think it's fair to say all killers, some of them are good people who understand how games work. But yeah, there's a lot on here that are salty they have to play to win.

That’s exactly why I said it, I probably get tunnelled off hook in about 10% of games so most of the time it’s gonna be pointless. It’s just not worth bringing at all with the new changes

I am happy about ds but sceptical about the OoO proposal. I think object will become a meta perk with that change and make life difficult for killer without some range restrictions.

This. I see this more often than not. DS almost always buys only a few seconds--it's the same problem with Power Struggle--honestly, sometimes I walk through pallets just to see if the survivor has it so they can use it because I feel bad for them.
I mean, It's still not actually anti-tunneling, which is the change I'd like to see, but at least it's getting nudges in the right direction?
Is it wrong to ask for an anti-tunneling perk to actually do its job? I'd offer suggestions, but people just call me a [BAD WORD] survivor main who knows nothing and deserves to die whenever I do, so I'll just let you use your imagination instead.

Nope and it will never be enough. Not even consistently winning (4Ks) is good enough. I've seen killer mains literally complain about DS while running stridor Spirit, Ruin and Undying and getting a 4K with 4 or 5 gens still up. Things are only considered "abuse" when survivors use it.
Meanwhile, Iri-Heads have been in the game for 4 years. It's not abuse to use Huntress, it is just skill.

It´s not useless. It protects against tunneling killers. Just like it does now.

Of course it’s useless. In 90% of games it won’t even get any use at all. In the other 10% when it does get used they’ll just eat the DS and keep tunnelling. It doesn’t protect against tunnelling but also does nothing else.

If I hook you, you get unhooked, and then I spend the next 30 seconds chasing and downing someone else, and then I down you again and get hit with D-Strike still, you weren't getting tunneled before, but you certainly are now. May as well prove you right if I'm gonna get hit with D-Strike anyways. With the proposed changes it really will be an anti-tunneling perk instead of 60 seconds of invincibility. And if you really are getting tunneled off hook, it will still do its job.

Its a poorly thought out blanket statement don't read to much into it.
Basically DS was open to abuse, its had a healthy change to limit its use like that and we'll see if it improves the game overall.
The only whining I see is neither killer or survivor biased, its just bad players in general complaining about changes and mechanics because they can.

2. Even if you don't tunnel you can get hit by ds, so your logic to not tunnel isn't valid.
I had games where i hooked 1 or 2 survivors and then found survivor 1 again fully healed, and still getting hit by ds.
Tell me how en when did I then tunnel?
Exactly it isn't, but why does the killer needs to get punished for survivors playing bad?
If it was really a anti tunnel perk than that would never happen, unfortunately it stops the momentum the killer has which can actually determine the end result of the match

Since when survivors are helpless? From my knowledge the game has been heavily skewed towards survivors since the very beginning, together with myriads of second chance perks.

Ds would be an anti tunnel perk if the stun time was 10secs. With this change it would be another trash perk, and you won’t see it in many games.

Okay but for real though, even with the upcoming DS nerf, OoO rework (If that goes through) and the key rework whenever that happens, I have seen killers around here asking for all kinds of other nerfs on survivors it's honestly a little ridiculous.
Some examples:
Dead hard
Sprint burst
Exhaustion in general
Unbreakable
Borrowed Time
Gen repair time (Slow down)
Gen regression time (Increase)
Also I've seen some killers unhappy with the fact that the upcoming DS nerf doesn't deactivate it upon entering a locker lol like give me a break.
I know that for the most part both sides want everything their way but my god the killers around here lately just want survivors to be helpless and guaranteed to be camped / tunneled out early it's kind of sad to see.
I will be very happy when Freddy and iridescent head gets reworked / nerfed but idk. I hardly even play the game anymore since everyone is hateful and rly gross.

Most people seem to think the DS change is one of the better ones they could have gone for though?
Of course some people will take absolute hardline "delete the perk, nothing else is good enough" stances, just like some won't be happy unless camping is 100% mechanically impossible/bannable. But they're a minority, and I can only wish them good luck dealing with desperately wanting things they will never ever get.

Since they've been nerfed for the past 2 years straight and killers have been buffed for that same time.
Just saying. I have yet to see any buffs towards survivors. (And no, bug fixes and animation fixes are not buffs.)

Survivors who think they are helpless and think the game caters to players are like the survivors in this video:
A lot of them are like the Claudette featured in the beginning of the video. Then they come here to cry about how hard the game is when in reality they're just bad.

Never said all survivors are like this, but a lot are. But thanks for being dishonest and putting words into what I actually wrote.
I have no desire for old moris to return, I am happy I don't have to see any more hook camping Ghostfaces tunnel me into the ground in order to mori me off the bat. Also, If you think keys are fine as they are, then you are part of the problem.

borrowed time should be a passive perk no perk need it for every survivor honestly, but Unb. and ds are so anyoing for a killer.
dead hard is not that big of the deal. sprint burst is more anoying for me.
as I main killer bhvr should punish in some way people that already win just waiting at the exit gates for no reason.
