Hook vacuum

hey yall! So I was playing the huntress the other day and realized that we still have the hook vacuum. I was under the impression that the devs removed it when they removed pallet vacuums for balance reasons. Did they add it back in at some point?

Only survivors have the advantage to unhook from all sides and killers have to deal with this crappy sliding thing as usual.

Yeah yeah bodyblocking part of the game blalba, but god prevent that the killer is the one bodyblocking

Yes there is but its not what most people think. The "vacuum" comes from the Killer being "pushed" or "slid" into place so that the animation can line up. By all accounts you were in the right place when you activated the action but sometimes your character model needs to be adjusted to make the animation work so people view your model "sliding" or being "vacuumed" to the hook.

That's the point. It is NO "vacuum". It is just an animation brought in line. Some survivor still repeat the myth about a teleportlike vacuum effect from several meter away that would deny them their 100% wiggle or DS.
All that crap is either made up or just lag, but they call it "vacuum".

Your above response would have been a better original post from you . If you are simply writing "there is no vacuum" without giving any explanation then people will think you are dismissing the whole thing. I'm glad to see you understand what I was saying as you too know what is actually taking place.

I just dismiss to call that "vacuum", because that way people try to make it a real issue that would need any "fix" like the old "pallet vacuum".

Oh you mean like the vault vaccuum that allows survivour to begin the vault 0.3 seconds earlier. Ya I'm aware of.the hook vauum same way im aware ds was supposed to fixed 2 months ago. Looking forward to the fix coinciding with the ds nerf.

Jokes aside the vaccum exists because the killer hook animation is locked to only working directly in front of the hook instead of putting in an animation for hooking a survivour slightly to the left or right of the hook.

I call it a vacuum because the devs have called it a vacuum in the same video session as when they told survivors and us that they were removing the pallet vacuum
