Camping and Tunnelling bigger then ever

Anyone with 2 brain cells to rub together could see that nurfing undying into the ground vs making a more middle ground trade was gonna bring back that super fun gameplay strategy of tunneling and camping back into full swing....

Before undying nerf id encounter this maybe 1 in 10 matches but now its 2-3 out of 5 matches even at high red ranks.

Why does BHVR encourage this low skill, low iq, low fun (on both sides) gameplay? Even their most recent killer the twins is completely built and perfected to do this.

Yes i get it happens, when its 1 in 10 matches its fine but when its half the games its just depressing. And even if you're good in chase and get chased for 3 gens from the start of the match while being tunneled you dont even get properly awarded for letting other survivors have time to do those 3 gens vs going down early and making them scramble.

Its great to be in chase but you dont safety pip by being chased all match.

There needs to be rewards for what is done while you're in chase, like .5 conversion of all gen progress while in chase, or .25 conversion of points for an unhook while in chase. That way there is some reward to the survivor being tunneled and making good chases

I feel like the past few days has had this a lot more as well, I didn't know whether it was just my bad luck or a result of something being nerfed or buffed as I haven't paid attention to change logs.

Definitely makes the game boring and unfun, I would have thought for both sides. I feel like there must be some way to disincentivise people doing this that is more than just "the rest of the team complete gens and escape so the killer gets low points anyway" - although 3 may escape, they have also had a boring game just squatting at a gen the whole time.

Would something like for the first X mins of a game or Y number of hooks, a killer is unable to attack for Z number of seconds or something? Sure it's a big survivor buff but it would prevent these boring unfun games.

I had some unfun matches, too. The killer was a spirit who tunneled a meg from the start. After she died the other two got down in seconds and slugged. Then i got chased and i realized that the spirit player was good. She could track me perfect with iron will, so no new player. I thought her playstyle was overkill and didnt understand why she would do that.

Then i saw the endgame screen. The meg had object. No wonder she got tunneled. There are certainly some killer who always tunnel, camp etc., but you never know what the survivor did to deserve that.

Nah bro. How about something like for the first X minutes you can't do 5 gens?

As both survivor and killer mains I agree with that idea. Gens are fast and a good organized team with toolboxes can finish them quite easily.

I had a game where 4 gens finished under 2 and half min due to all toolboxes and it's add-ons. As a killer sometimes tunneling and camping became a strategy when that happens. The main problem is only goal of survivors are doing gens and only goal of the killer is to kill.

There should be an extra mission such as find X part for the generator so that the game can be longer. I even write a new idea for modifying the gen speeds where first 1-2 gens should be longer but the last gen shold be finish easier.

If you make matches longer, there were no reason not to camper the first hook.

    Read my topic at forum. Actually general of my idea is not making the game longer. Just making first 2 gens to pop harder and the last gen will pop easier. Normally a gen without any fail,no toolboxes and perks and without the great skill checks took 80 seconds. So for 5 gens it is 400 sec in general. What if we made a system like this;

    5 gen = 100 sec

    4 gen = 90 sen

    3 gen = 80 sec

    2 gen = 70 sec

    1 gen = 60 sec

At the start of the match killer have bigger area to patrol so he needs more time and survivors are new to gen repair. So the first gens will be taken longer. As the patrolling area decreased the gen time will be decreased and survivor can finish gens faster. If you sum all the numbers that I wrote it is still 400 secs.
