Are you joking? This the norm for solo queue players. It's a literal rainbow of different ranks and the reason I only touch survivor for rift challenges anymore.

Try playing in different hours. For me sometimes it's like that but i took notice that in the morning and night the matchmaking don't suck so much.

This happens a lot of the time in solo q after the update. People complain about the teammates in purple being bad, I wonder how they feel now being alone with people completely new to the game.

I have a feeling this is MMR taking effect. Scott Jund made a video on his theory about MMR being secretly activated, I recommend giving that a watch.
What I think is that this Wraith rarely plays as him or is doing a daily/or tome challenge. They have low level perks on him so that might help my point.

Its actually not, op is likely with one of those survivors... as a solo rank 1 iv never had a game with everyone out of the 7rank bracket of the killer unless it's the odd one or a swf

This isn't correct. OP's experience is quite normal in solo queue depending on the hours you play at. You either play very little during peak, or don't touch survivor during the night hours in your region.
Red rank survivors will typically wait around ten to fifteen minutes to find a match filled with yellow, brown, or purple ranks against a purple or red rank killer. These matches are basically a lost cause for obvious reasons.

This is why the game is mostly swf now. I personally quit playing solo for this very reason. I found that I was sweating so hard everygame because I was having to carry a team and yet it was loss after loss after loss. I know some people say its about pips but when I have to put in so much blood, sweat and tears in every game I’d like to have an escape every now or then ya know?
It wasnt even about the rainbow ranks, the rank reset changes completely changed red ranks over night and you can see which survivors only got there by sprint burst and bad map design. When they didn’t have a god window to run to they went down like a sack of potatoes. Plus the hatch changes ensured that if your team died you were done for too. The only reason to play survivor was with BT and WGLF and just farm points but at that point you might as well just stick with killer for more BP.

I do play at off peak times, and lobby are longer yes but unless this guy is in a place like Australia then he is probably a duo swf. This definitely isn't the norm on USA or UK servers for a solo red rank player last off peak times, you'll get the odd low rank but not all. Honestly wouldn't surprise me if op was trying to abuse the swf matchmaking and it's not working like the devs previously stated or they reversed it without saying. Quite often I'll see a red rank swf with 10-20 ranks

God I wish this was true but as someone who plays in both EU (UK + Frankfurt) and ocassionally East Coast NA this is the normal default matchmaking lmao. Me and my friend Sloppy were playing duos yesterday because we were both sick and tired of the awful matchmaking; and it still gave us 2 yellow ranks the majority of the time. When we went solos? We'd get people with less than 400 hours in the game (both of us breaking 4 digits in terms of playtime) and nobody was above green ranks.
Even as killer we'd be getting 4 green ranks.

What time are you playing I'm uk too, honestly I'd like some chill killer games lol kinda tired of 4 red ranks that know tiles to play survivor and have red ranks do nothing haha. But in all honesty alot of players do abuse the swf thing you can see it on xbox LFG posts it's kinda sad, I wish swf was shown endgame so wed know either way

I faced a pack of Red as Green/Purple Trapper with brown add-on. 2 matches in a row, dominated.
Then I decided to play purple/red add-on, and it was 4 Brown/Yellow.
Cant understand that.

I'm used to rainbow ranks too but even then more than ten rank difference between the killer and survivors is pretty new to me outside of when MMR was on. I'd assume some1 in that group was SWF.
