Definition of horror; The Trickster and how he falls under that category; no new map

The Trickster - A killer who happens to be a K-pop star with clothes that are "too flashy" who brutally and mercilessly murdered many of his adoring fans or other innocent people and incorporated their screams into his music.
So you have this guy who lures people in with his looks and then shows his true self to people. The qualities of his true self so to speak include being:
- Evil
- Creepy (some people may think this)
- Rivals even the Doctor's sadistic nature (my money's on doc)
- Has no remorse
- Psychopathic
- Manipulative
- Narcissitic
- Disturbing
- Disgusting (also depends on who you ask, in his lore he was dissecting people alive and gutting their bodies.)
- Just a vile human being really
Just to name a few. Now let's compare that to someone like Doctor. His qualities consist of:
- Complete and total sadist (his mother would be proud)
- Highly intelligent
- Cunning
- Psychopathic
- Insane
- Callous
- Evil
- Just a madman really
I think it is safe to say that "The Trickster" is horrifying and would fit in DBD. I think he fits right in, but others say the opposite.
So, just a reminder, this game literally has a character dress up as a Christmas elf, but no one complained about that being out of place (among other things): I present to you the dwelf. Compact, nervous, cowardly, and would probably fall over from being blown by a simple breeze or gust of wind.
Pretty sure this game stops being scary after about a week of playing it, it just becomes intense rather than scary.
And finally, about the lack of a map for this chapter. I know why BHVR didn't give us a new map, but I really think they should have made an exception for this guy because I think it would help people see how he fits in the game (that background looks absolutely gorgeous and would love to see a map like that). I am pretty sure he will get one in the future though.

I don't mind killers who are not scary in appearance but this killer definitely looks creepy to me with his eyes and the way he laughs is kinda disturbing.
I am not against a killer who looks completely fine like Hannibal Lecter in a tv show. Looks are not the only thing that makes a "killer"

The thing is. Especially in a game like DbD where Lore is a bonus that doesn't affect gameplay that you can completely ignore, most of your points just don't matter much. Because important is "Show don't tell". And silly costumes like the Dwight outfit were complained about as well. Even though those outfits are different, beeing a silly option to adds to an already established character, while the Trickster is a complete new one, added with an aesthetic that feels out of place for quite some people.
And that's the point people are trying to make. His character model feels like it doesn't fit to a DbD killer. For me personally, it was the first killer I visually completely disliked/turned off. And I was even prepared for a kpop themed/related killer. Funny is, that his character profile picture on the killer selection doesn't have the effect on me. And the evil laugh and certain animations are definitively good as well. But many other things like his over the top silly mori animation just feel unfitting from the overall aesthaetic of the game. It really feels like they are adding a cartoon character. And I think that is a valid complaint.

He just seems like a villain to me. Using these metrics you could add any psychotic villain whose happy to murder. Many of them match what you've described and they wouldn't fit in the game either. You could argue for Darth Vader or Anakin now.

I know I've already said this in other threads but he gives me mega Sangwoo from Killing Stalking vibes and it's literally all the same things.
By outward appearances they're handsome devils but behind the scenes they're terrifying serial killers who commit atrocities.
The only thing I personally cannot STAND about Trickster is his default color scheme. The yellow coat and striped red pants are just too awkward lol it makes me think of McDonald's lol
I DO like his bright yellow eyes though. Yellow irises creep me out, they're very reptilian/eerie to me and I feel like they up his creep factor since otherwise he IS just incredibly beautiful.

There's also Wraith who murdered his boss for tricking him into killing innocents for crime lords. Spirit since her dad murdered her and her mother. Nurse maybe at a push who simply just snapped and lost her mind. Also Hag who was starved to death by Cannibals though she did end up eating them for revenge so maybe not top good.

I don't think they are all the same. Like, I don't think that doctor is manipulative or disgusting. They are all similar in the other traits tho.
