New killer = No counterplay like old legion
I know this community are biased to killers but i just watched zubat's video and new killer is disgusting as hell. I am sure even Scottjund agree with this

Actually Scott thinks he's on the weak side at the moment, he just released a video today I believe.

I don't think so.
He is slow and when he throws his knife he is even slower. Maybe in some maps, it's harder to counter his knife, but as he stands I think he's very counterable.

Old Legion was also considered weak. A killer can be weak but have a power that has no counterplay.

I wouldnt compare it to Legion, I more got the feeling that the ranged attack has potential to just be wasted time if you don't aim well.
And as always, we started day 2, so no clue at all of what the main usage and standard counterplay will be, rather than similar to huntress

Come on seriously.. no counterplay? He runs at 4,4 m/s and the use of his power can be denied as any other ranged killer. You literally have to play the same way as facing huntress. Its really that hard to expand your mind further and not rely only on pallets loops?

He is a worse version of Plague, that moves slower. How does he have "no counterplay"? If you don't get hit long enough with a knife, you start to lose them. His counterplay is exactly the same as Plague and Huntress.

I've encountered where his knives can go through objects he is still quite bugged and is actually faster than ppl think. He's basically the huntress' son on speed

A rock is a counter play to this killer, like seriously the worst 110% killer atm. Every other killer has better power and perks, even with his stronger addons dont compare to huntress or slinger. Just use your own brain instead of copying some YouTube video

Same speed lol, the killer is rubbish overall. It's a little difficult to avoid Trickster out in the open but that's just another playstyle survivor mains have to learn.

he is the same as the huntress in open the only difference is that he nead to hit you will lik 8 knighws to hurt or down you when huntres just need one hatchet

I wasn't around for old legion so can't comment on that. However, tricksters counter play is LoS, same as the other ranged killers.

Gonna need some video evidence of that, every video I've seen his knives have been stopped by contact with the environment.

I was just pointing out that old legion was both weak and had no counterplay.
Honestly I think Trickster does have a similar issue to old legion being that it takes so many hits to down a survivor with his power, but I think that's as far as the similarities go.

Anything with high walls hard counters him. Don't get me wrong, if you're in the open or you're bat a junk tile you're dead, but more than half the maps are high-wall tiles, from.maze tiles to killer shak to main buildings to even generic buildings in some maps.

I said "looking weak" I didnt say he IS weak. I was making an observation not stating absolute fact. The title of this thread is He has no counterplay. This is not an opinion this is someone making a statement.

Why saying he's got no counterplay when you haven't even played him or against him.
You only based your assumptions on another person instead of your own experience.
Before making those statements, make sure you have your own experience instead of copying what someone else says

Spoken like someone who only plays survivor and not both sides, thinks that only the other side is ever favored (as someone who plays both, the bias is actually about 60/40 in favor of survivor). And someone who clearly doesn't understand how to counter ranged killers in this game. It is literally the same strategy as with Huntress and Plague ranged attacks.

I think he needs less time winding up I haven't got the time to test it but it should be closer to deathslinger because you have to hit them with 8 knives and it slows you down. Also they need to make his power not automatically get used up it just leads to wasted potential.

the thing is... just because a killer has no counterplay doesnt mean he is strong. A killer can have zero to none counterplay during a chase but still be overall weak protecting gens. For example: Old legion. No counterplay. HE WILL DOWN YOU and there was nothing you could do against that. BUT: Gens were flying. so he was weak. Basically noone had fun. Neither the chased survivor with no counterplay nor old legion players who got genrushed.
AND THE SAME situation we have now again with that kpop "killer"

For one, I live in NA, and I watch AUS streamers that wait just as long in survivor queues, while also having very quick killer queues.

I'm not sure how you can possibly compare the Trickster to old Legion. Old Legion would down you regardless of windows, pallets, or any other tool survivors had to delay the killer.
A small elevated wall counters the Trickster.

Because a killer having no counterplay isn't healthy for the game regardless if they are weak.
There was a reason old legion caused mass D/Cs despite the fact you could basically 4 man escape against most legions.

The Trickster is more difficult to aim with than Slinger. The reason you get 60 kunai is that you'll miss 50 of them lol.

That video doesn't cover the half of it. You won't believe the loops he can get you at. Anything with a slight opening knives go through as well. Wait until Scott realizes and puts out a video and then everyone will parrot it.
I feel like they should give the knives a slightly larger hitbox maybe to stop them hitting survivors at every loop, and in return make them aim better because there's very little accuracy to them.

The counterplay is the same with huntress, deathslinger, and plague. If you are behind something he can't hit you. Easy.
It's just....he's worse than they are so it's easier.

Yaaaa, even small tight obstacles are terrible for him because of how slow he is. If Trickster aims during a loop he can't see over, he basically resets the loop for the Survivor and they can take him for a ride even longer. Furthermore, every 5 seconds you manage to avoid getting hit by his angry origami, the more he will have to use on you to down you. Simply looping him at ALL depowers him as long as you don't try to hide around low obstacles or give him a target for more than a second. Compared to Deathslinger or Huntress, he's much more finicky. Also, compared to Deathslinger and Huntress, messing up a loop against him is NOT a big problem so long as you only take a knife or two. Just running the loop well from then on will remove that mistake. Those two don't give you a lot of room for errors, Trickster does.

Exept you can dodge and outplay a huntress. There's no dodging or outplaying this character.
