The BT hypocrisy for when you don't have it

Maybe it's just me, but does anyone regularly encounter players or streamers who get mad at you or another surv for not having BT and then THEY don't even have BT?

Only if I mess up and end up farming them, which is rare but does happen.

In that case, I can't blame them for being upset at me.

I personally am just beyond sick of people, most of whom I really don't think intend to farm, not having BT and unhooking me with the killer 6 feet away. I mean, seriously, it's not rocket surgery. Go do anything else rather than stupidly pulling me off a hook in the worst moment, not intending to take a hit at least, while I *try* to get away. I'd rather die on first hook if gens got done than to be pulled pointlessly and counter-productively off a hook.

If someone does an unsafe unhook with out bt it's perfectly fine to complain about. Whether you run by or not. Now is it wrong to comaplin when you don't run bt and do unsafe unhook yes it is.

This. Whenever I play survivor (not often) I always go for safe hooks. I then end up accidentally giving the killer his 1k.

    I am the designated sacrifice.

No but I’ve gotten players who get camped and I save them with BT, only to go down seconds later and accuse me of farming... even though I literally just gave them another chance. Lol

Sometimes the killer doesn't give you a choice really. Either you let them die and eat the negative altruism or you take a shot at getting them out of there. Alot of times letting them die is the smarter play, but it feels so shity you feel the need to try.

It's rare. My buddy got invited to a party (prior to cross play) and the dude screamed at him for not having bt.... But his perks were BT, DH, DS, Unbreakable. Doors are open and all his perks are still usable. He made it out just wanted to stick around and bully

It's so circumstantial. I usually don't perform unsafe unhooks when I don't have Bt, but if they are about to reach another hook state it's worth the shot even if you don't have BT bc they might have DS. Other times it's the last resort, hoping that the killer will slug them and come after me so someone else can pick them up or they might use UB. Even immediately unhooking without BT might be justified in a very late-game scenario.

BUT excluding the situations above, I've seen my share of scumbags. I was playing as Doc when a Bill unhooked the Ace not even 5 seconds at the beginning of the match. I knew what he had done when I turned and Ace just stood there, he had given up. My usual protocol when that happens is to eliminate the victim so he can find better teammates in another trial and while I torment the hookbomber in a 3v1. This time the guy was so broken that I didn't have the courage to do that, so I left for Bill. Even after I killed both, the Ace thanked me in the post-match chat. Some people love their stacks more than their mothers.

I agree sometimes the only way to attempt to save someone is right in the killers face. I'm talking about when the killer isn't camping. He is about to leave and someone makes a save when he is less than 10 meters away. At that point the rescuer should have waited a bit. There was no rush and the killer was leaving.

In that instance I do not blame the killer for turning back. He knows 2 people are close and one is injured. It's not tunneling if the survivor's present such an opportunity.

In that scenario I blame the other survivor. As killer unless the person got farmed wasn't a jerk I slug them to harm the other guys emblem and run down the idiot who unhooked. It's my way on punishing bad play.

Could you explain harming the other guy's emblem? Noob question, thanks.

If I don't have BT, I won't go for the save if it's not safe. That's the difference.

If you make an unsafe rescue your altruism emblem is penalized.
