This immunity after unhooking is bullshit
If I get unhooked I still get insta downed but this guy takes 2 chainsaws and still lives...
Comments
-
wow that was pretty dumb, I'd be pissed too

i agree it never seems to work when u get unhooked, but what happened in that clip is supposed to happen, they don't take damage until they hit the ground. Why was the guy face camping with a chainsaw anyway... tahxic
8 -
I was face camping because I was playing against a obviously 4 man SWF with 2x flashlight and this guy had DS. I dont use DS unless my viewers ask me too. I have a real hate towards DS and NOED. The game before I let people escape.
It pissed me so off I stopped streaming because this game has become trash since Spirit Patch. (I only stream this game currently because of audio issues trying to stream ps4 games using a capture card.)

ahh right, understood then, but like i said, he hadnt hit the ground yet

Instead of making survivors learn when to make good saves or not at all, they just make enough changes to where it doesn't matter if you make a good save or not.

i dislike the whole idea of making a survivor invulnerability while getting unhooked, for many reasons.
first off, its just BS that a survivor is literally immune to any sort of damage there is.
also, they just gave them their exhaustion perks back after getting hooked, so after an hook invu they now also get their sprintburst invu? at this point they could also just made it so the unhooked survivor gets teleported away. i wouldnt see a big difference there. but the one thing that infuriates me the most is, that they just said they'd punish hook farmers by taking away many points and emblem progression, when the unhooked survivor is hit again within 10 seconds. but then they made the unhooked invulnerable to damage and give him his exhaustion back, so the killer will almost never be able to catch that guy within the said 10 seconds. with other words: they even encourage you to just go ahead and hookfarm, as you will almost never feel the consequences, cause even if the unhooked guy gets downed again, as long as they've had 1 pallet / window, the 10 seconds are over and you will get your points. that part just feels like a huge scam, if you ask me.
imo they should not punish a killer for the survivors missplay, by forcing him to give up on the previous victim and take on the fully healed guy. instead, they should punish the survivors by giving me the ability to get 2 downs out of 1 hook, but that would be broken, right?
cause why would a survivor need to use his brain once?
i am so annoyed by this ;-;8 -

Tbh Kobe should get a couple sec immunity.
But that definitely looked like a glitch on the 2nd hit the way it is now.
3 -
The whole invu frame crap is total BS.
Same as the free exhaustion relief for getting hooked.
Serious a rusty hook through your shoulder is relieving you from being exhausted? #########?4 -
I just want them to make it more clear.
If the icon next to the players name goes from hooked to injured then he should not have invulnerability, period.2 -

I wouldn't be surprised if when they changed the Kobe unhook speed, that it might have bugged out the whole thing with the immunity.

Serious a rusty hook through your shoulder is relieving you from being exhausted? #########?Realism isn't a good argument here. It's a a game. The idea of the exhaustion recovery is just how they tried to rebalance it after the exhaustion nerfs. Beeing unhooked already brings you more vulnerable state. And if you were unhooked a little bit too early and if it's a high mobile killer who decides immediatly return to the hook and tunnel, then you were kinda in a bad spot. It's especially an issue for solo survivors who can't tell their teammates, when their exhaustion perk is ready. So you know that person always has a chance to do something, if the killers comes back. And I think it's a good change.
I know killers still are in a bad spot and it's getting slightly better. But rebalancing the game should also keep the fun aspect of the game higher and not increase frustrating moments for the players.
And this counts for survivors as much as for killers. I mean this bugged Kobe situation and SB I-Frames are such frustrating moments as well.2 -
Devs screwed it up again0

Still not a good enough reason to facecamp just because they're using a perk you don't like, I don't like NOED or Franklin's Demise but I will still say "GG" to the killer using those perks after the game.

Alright next time I will run to the other side of the map so they can unhook him and run 20m towards the open exit gate bro.

Whau, poor little camper LF... That was a timing problem... Try to wait a little more to next time... Or try to play without camp... If you can.

Leatherface's only strength is camping. Not everyone is the basement camping LF or the camp on first hook LF, but every single match I've played against a LF, he's revving his chainsaw right in front of the hook at least once.
That's fine. But it's also fine to call it out as an obnoxious tactic. Just like flashlight saves or body blocking the hook are incredibly annoying when they're pulled off, but they're still legit.
But face camping cause your feelings got hurt because you don't like a perk is silly and you will rightfully be called out when you do it.4 -

In your post, you said that you camped the Adam because he had DS, camping due to someone having a perk is stupid. If you said your reason for camping is because the gates were open and you were trying to secure the kill, then that reason becomes more justified (I personally wouldn't even camp in that situation, due to my morals but I've only ever met one killer that plays like me).

You mean spend the whole match chasing and hooking 1 Survivor, walking away from the hook when there's only 1 gen left, and being thankful they at least let you get that many points?1 -

You sound a little traumatized, I play as killer too sometimes, right now Im rank 2 (Im trying to derank but is pretty impossible), and yes, sometimes play against SWF is frustrating but is not all the games... Or you are very bad, or you have a problem with this game... No always mean you have to win, if they are good playing, and organizated probably they will win.. And ok... I dont feel the need to camp against a anom player that have DS or flashlight to feel me better, jjust play the next match and try to do it better..
Too much people in this game have a problem with his EGO for a game....
Sorry for my english, but I think you can understand me.
PLUS the problem in this topic is not the inmunity... The problem is the timing of the killer in the clip... So, is pointless complain about "the inmunity"

I got downed in midair after getting unhooked a few days ago.
https://xboxclips.com/Cpt%20RonCod/34733983-e272-441a-ab1e-111fb6541402
Like everything else in this game, it’s buggy and poorly implemented.1 -

I camp with LF all the time....It's his best strategy and people flame me post game. Doc is a different story with different playstyle....almost never camp. you have to play to the killer's strengths.
The invulnerability when unhooking is borked in this game and very very silly. I agree with the OP. Every one who is flaming you for camping is probably just salty cuz they don't like being facecamped....But it's just the way it is.
I hate flashlights....they are completely silly and make no sense....But they are a part of the game. The joy in getting better is learning to adapt to opponents strategies.....flashlights, DS, looping....and yes, camping.
If you are getting worked up about getting camped, maybe take a break or watch some videos on how to not get hooked in the first place.

I can't imagine you typed this comment with a straight face. Absolutely nothing about this game is realistic. Just as a reminder, this is a video game. It is not real life. It's not even pretending to be.
I can't believe people bring up that "it's a game" to ignore realism.
Any game, especially fantastic games (or movies or books, etc.) need SOME level of realism to make the player immerse in the game.
There has to be some consistency in the physic of the gameworld.
Of course some stuff like killer powers are meant to break that, because they are some kind of demonic magic, but the rest around it hast o follow some rules to make it feel real.
But exhaustion being relieved from a chilling time hanging out at an relaxing rusty hook? Come on.
Leave your "this is a game" crap and get some real argument supporting this crappy band aid to please the survivor and give them another extra chance on top of all their extra chances. Why is the killer get punished for teammates doing bad unhooks?3 -

There is "SOME" level of realism. You're just trying to pick and choose which things you think should be realistic to suit your bias.

Good clip. That is the exact reason why that feature was put in. Good job for showing everyone why the Devs put in the immune while unhooking.
So I don't understand why the complaining about it.
If killers weren't camping then that feature would have never been put in place.

I'm pretty sure that's the reason, since on normal unhooks it doesn't happen. Probably the game still thinks you're in the self-unhook animation even after you canceled it by moving.

Knowing of this mechanic killers should just stop targeting the unhooked survivor. Most of the times you can trade hooks by simply hitting the saver if they are determined to get the unhook, and 1 surv hooked + 1 surv injured and with one less hook stage > 1 survivor hooked again.

i am so annoyed by this ;-;I'm all up for that IF they start exhausting hooks. Yeah, you can down them again, but the Entity should be called upon and make that hook useless, and make it reappear in 30 seconds or so. You know...like what happens with Windows.
I'm killer main too.0 -
camping is perfectly legit, but those perks and buffs need to go....
really? that's a pretty weak stance.1 -

lolBut your totally bias free, right?^^
So funny, you defend a bullcrap mechanic just because it helps YOU.
Killer are MEANT to have "unrealistic" abilities, because they should be the powerrole that can do things that survivor can't. That's why they can't get hurt, etc. But you just ignore the whole core concept of the game and call me out to be picky and biased.
That just wrong on so many levels. Just hilarious.2 -
Putting aside all the camping issues, it did appear that the second hit should have counted. He looked like he was on the ground running when it landed.
