What purpose does the "fun"-rating at the end of the trial serve?
Just something I was wondering about, maybe one of the devs could answer this.
Does this somehow influence future decision making if a ton of players give their matches a 1/5 rating? Do you suddenly start investigating why people feel the game isn't fun anymore? Don't you already have these surveys for that?

Imagine how rare are games where everyone had fun. I would love to see the statistics lol.

I wish it was a bit more obvious tbh. I always forget about it and it wouldn't surprise me if the mayority of players didn't even know it's there

I use it to rank the matchmaking. If I'm placed with people I feel are at my mid-ass level, I give it 5. If I'm matched with people who spend more time playing than I do at work, or people who seem to have had their brains replaced with root vegetables, I give it a 1. No idea if it does anything.

Ideally it would influence future game decisions. For instance, if thousands of survivors are rating 1/5 when playing against Huntress with iri hatchet and infantry belt they'd look into it and reworm those add ons or some such, but honestly there's a good chance it doesn't do jack.

It's like the employee suggestion box at your workplace. But unlike your workplace, you can't hear the shredder.

Hey now, my boss respects me. He waits until I leave the office before he breaks out the shredder

Pretty sure that the dev @Almo mentioned that he does look at those statistics.

Yes, we check through fun ratings on occasion looking for information on player perceptions. Please fill these out. :)

1/5 every time

But what makes a game fun in your opinion, or how is the data analyzed? Maybe an option for drop down as to why a person did or didn't enjoy a game? That would give more accurate feedback for devs yes?

i give it 5 stars if the game was intense and i had fun. i give it 1 star if the game was short and boring.
but what the rating does is nothing. they could make it so you can see everyones ratings

Good to have you back Almo :)

It doesn't even matter to the devs because they only see the kills and escapes. They don't analyze the story of the game, which is why they think 2 escape, 2 dead is balanced.

Do you base it off maps, killers, perks or all of the above?

This question has been there for so long people don't notice it anymore. You should change questions from time to time. Would it not be interesting to ask if the game was easy, normal or too hard and see what survivors answers depending on what killer they played against, and same what the killers said about the survivor team and see statistics of how Spirit players think after a game versus Trappers for example.

Thanks for the answer. If I could offer a suggestion - give us a comment box to offer specifics for those 1 and 5 stars.
