Do people actually think BBQ needs a nerf?
BBQ and Chili is the epitome of a balanced while also being viable perk. It rewards killers for doing their objective and there are plenty of counters to it.
If survivor mains say BBQ and Chili is unfair and needs a nerf, I might as well say that Adrenaline also needs a nerf because it also rewards survivors for doing their objective and is actually way less counterable than BBQ. How about quit asking for every viable thing to be nerfed? This question applies to both sides. Soon enough we’re going to get everything nerfed to the point where Lucky Break becomes the best survivor perk and Dead Man’s Switch becomes the best killer perk.

Yes. In fact, you can point to pretty much every popular perk and find somebody who wants it nerfed.
Doesn't mean the reasons are any good though.

Exactly. There are things I agree need to get touched but BBQ is absolutely not one of them.

Devs like BBQ because it actually promotes healthy gameplay. It encourages you to not tunnel to get stacks for bloodpoints, and encourages you to leave the hook to go after someone 40+ meters away.

Plus survivors have the exact same perk themselves (although not bonus BP).

Not sure if "people" is the right term considering it's really just 1 person (that I know of)... cough....

That is true. Tunneling and camping are things survivors hate but they hate on a perk that promotes not doing it? Something doesn't seem right.

Since hiding behind gen, lockers, close proximity to killer and distortion counters it, 3 of them don't require a perk so its perfectly fine

I've actually seen quite a few people say it and it just boggles my mind.

I bet if crouch walking hid your aura in DBD then survivors would still complain about it.

You gotta be kidding me hahaha... Nobody who understands the idea of BBQ wants it nerfed. It promotes healthy gameplay so no matter what people say against it - it's not valid.

Yep. It’s honestly kind of sad what people think.

If people don't like BBQ then they should think of a perk to put the double bloodpoints on that they do like. That's literally the main reason I run it on EVERY killer EVERY game. It just helps the grind. If the double BP was base-kit I would use Thrilling Tremors or even Hex: Devour Hope for some spicy fun.

Yes, there is a large minority of people that think BBQ is overpowered and rewards the killer way too heavily.
Although comparing it to Adrenaline isn't exactly fair, Adrenaline is genuinely controversial because of how it's often used (quickly slam the last few gens while injured and have no repercussions). It used to be one of the posterchild second chance perks back before Unbreakable took over. BBQ is more just controversial because it directly hits stealth players.
