Hag is the most boring killer to vs
I sure do enjoy having to slowly crouch through the 5 hooks she placed around the hook after downing a survivor, thank god I spent all this time learning how to optimally loop a kil- oh what's that? you're laying down a trap on a pallet and or window that you can instantly teleport to and M1 me mid chase? oh... well played I guess.
Does anyone actually enjoy vs'ing Hag? tell me what I'm missing please so I stop falling asleep mid-game when I vs her.

I like playing against a good hag.
Can't just disarm every trap like trapper, even if you bring a flashlight or find one, it's got limited battery so you have to prioritize. Also unlike trapper there are times where you actually want to trip her traps to distract her or even just to clear a bunch in front of a hook or gen. She makes you change up your entire playstyle, which I'm always for.

Hag has a unique playstyle that no other Killer matches. Even Trapper, whose power is the closest to hers, still has to chase and loop. Hag doesn't- chasing as a 110% killer will throw games. Since she can't use a fast movement ability (Nurse or Spirit) or use a ranged attack (Deathslinger, Huntress) her TP and individuality makes her one of the strongest killers in the game.
Plus, any Hag that places 5 traps near a hook is usually bad. You only need 1 good trap to make it work.

It is funny how survivors call any killer thats hard to go against. boring e.g. Nurse, spirit, deathslinger and now hag.
Hags are rare, and a good hag is as rare as they come, just enjoy the game and learn.

i agree i play solo and i usually end up just killing myself on hook because she's hard to beat without comms.

I hate facing hag but she does have reasonbale counterplay (even without flashlights). Harassing her network of traps is one of the main things to counter her, learning where her traps are and try to lead her away from them etc.
Besides that, to play hag properly vs good team is nearly as hard as playing nurse properly. Almost always it's my teammates that kill me far more than the hag did.

No killer should have been designed around only an item being a counter to their power.
1 -
Hag is boring in general. She's pretty much a low skill high reward killer whos very overrated by pretty much the whole dbd community. Imo of course
0 -
Sally slugson would like to have a word with you.
3 -
I see both sides calling hag boring. Maybe because her power is non interactive.
1 -
Not really.. I'm a hag main and been against only a fair amount of hags. As I said, they are very rare.
A baby hag is not a good hag.. same with all killers. If she required such low skill with such a high reward then why are hags so unpopular compared to Nurse and Spirit mains, right there at the top? Especially if hag is THAT easy.
3 -
Yeah maybe so. Each to their own though I guess.. theres over 20 killers to pick from anyway so I think calling hag boring along with the other killers is more so on the survivor side. Its hard to bully a strong killer.. maybe thats why.
1 -
Good thing she wasn't.
4 -
Oh golly I hope she doesn't put 5 traps next to the hook
0 -
I disagree
The most boring killer to face is Infectious Fright Slugging Nurse
2 -
A good Hag I genuinely enjoy since it's a challenge. Although a bad Hag is very annoying. Still prefer her over Spirit.
2 -
Flashlights are common equipment and found in chests rather often too. Tip: Flashlights destroy her traps.
1 -
The reason why she's unpopular is because people enjoy chasing and interacting with survivors. Hag doesn't chase nor does she really give a ######### about what survivors do and very few people enjoy that playstyle.
3 -
Flashlights.
0 -
Is your crouch button broken?
0 -
Oh yeah, if you're going against a hag, just crouch. It's so easy why does everybody complain, all you need to do is hold crouch. It's totally not like you're running away from her in a chase, that totally doesn't happen.
3 -
So you know there is actual counterplay, and are upset you can't do it in a chase? You know it's pretty difficult to disarm Trapper's traps in a chase too, right? That's how being chased works, hard to do other stuff.
3 -
There is a reason basically everybody puts her in top tier. She has virtually no counterplay outside of flashlights or being an extremely good swf. All she has to do is place a trap or 2 at a loop and there isn't anything you can do.
1 -
Except, you know, avoid them and disarm them later.
She's at the top because she makes survivors think beyond just "Loop = Good" you have to constantly think about your surroundings, your strategy, and her defense. You have to be alert for more than red stains and flashing lights, and can't just run everywhere without a care. That's a lot for people more used to relying on their teammates to carry them to red ranks.
3 -
The scariest thing about going against the hag is having teammates who don't know you can crouch to avoid traps or flashlight them
2 -
Love'em. I follow them the entire game messing with their setups.
1 -
A good hag is fun to go against in my opinion I just find the ones that just proxy camp the hook with traps and just teleport back and tunnel everyone pretty boring to go against honestly.
2 -
99% of Hag players have the same play style
6 -
I love hearing that I'm right without having to say a word.
It's super ego-boosting.
To clarify: the people who are saying that Hag is both hard to play and play against while still being rewarding and engaging are my new favorite non-friend people. Too often I try to make this point and get told I'm stupid and that I've clearly never played this game ever.
Yes, flashlights are good against hag, but they don't disarm traps, they set them off early.
Yes, you can crouch past her traps, but you can't easily do so in chase and must instead choose your loops wisely.
Yes, she can trap the map to have an oppressive presence, but as soon as she picks someone up good survivors will be hitting (and setting off) every trap on the map just to waste her time.
Both sides to the coin are valid. Hag isn't boring, she's different.
... And there's nothing wrong with being different.
5 -
Just get rid of the trap under the hook part and i wouldn't care.
Every hag i have played against does the same thing.
Shove a trap directly at the survivors feet and then walk away, count to 10 come back. Walk away count to 10, come back. Walk away count to 10, come back

A good hag may be fun. But almost every single hag i played against just put 5 + traps on the hook and lurk nearby ready to teleport back. Then just hope for noed to save them if we manage to do the gens and don't find every single totem, depending on the map.
Today, as example, I just faced a hag that I didn't even had to bother when on gens, because she was just always by the hook, ready to teleport. The hag mains I know, unfortunately, just play in this style too and they main hag because they hardly can perform well with another killer, for how easy is to camp with her. So it's not really like impressive or anything for me.

Can't really bully killers anymore, but okay.

As a Hag player I get a sick sense of enjoyment watching everyone have to duckwalk everywhere for they fear setting off my traps.
It is almost like they are actually scared of me or something..And they don't duckwalk they get a jumpscare and I get to punch them..So,It makes me happy.
That and I run hag with dragon's grip and make your choice.

Id take hag over Legion and pig easily any day. They both are kinda boring to face and having annoying mini games built in them
0 -
I agree. Give me a rusty shackles or mint rag Hag over the mending simulator that is Legion matches any day.
1 -
Nurse and Legion are way more boring to vs than Hag. Hag has so much counterplay as well. Trip her traps and force her to chase you, or do gens. That's how you beat her.
0 -
And if she eventually gets you and tou are playing solo, watch the rest of your team stumble into traps that only you know exist. and see them crouch around waiting to save while the heartbeat fades in and out from the killer proxy camping.
Its boring when playing solo.

The only Killer who is legit "boring" to face is Twins, everything else you are just salty you lose to them.
0 -
I Never said anything about a baby hag. A baby anything will get destroyed by any decent. I not even say shes bad just really boring gameplay and a very easy to reach skill cap. Hag Is killer you play if you dont want to play killer.
0 -
Yeah their attacks just draw out the game super long, they arent very threatening a lot of the time, and they just don't have a very commanding presence just shuffling behind you while the sprint I know 95% of the time I'll mend and get healed and it will all be fine
1 -
flashlights don't counter her power nor does urban evasion, the only time flashlights noticeably affect Hag is when 3+ are brought or a single survivor follows you the whole match but i always bait them into basement and it usually works.
the counter to her power is triggering traps when Hag can't use them, if that counter isn't good enough for you too bad her power is her only means of actually getting people and she needs to set it up beforehand.
As a Hag main this is exactly right, You cannot play Hag like any other killer even trapper has to commit to chases which he can because he is 115% which means as a survivor you can't play against her like other killers either.
The best way to beat her is to try to play as smart as possible which is usually triggering traps during a pick up but even then against a good Hag that alone won't beat her as long as she has gen placement in her favor.
1 -
I'll admit that SWF has it way easier against Hag, but it doesn't excuse solos who just play bad, like running into an area that would clearly be trapped or not thinking that a Hag is gonna put a trap on a hook.
1 -
Mate I'll be honest, facing a Hag will never be fun.
They can be rare but I've faced a lot more recently which has been extremely unfun.
The only way not to fall asleep is to be determined to make that the worst game in history. Make the player regret playing as Hag!

Red rank Killer/Survivor here. When I originally tried to get rank one as killer I used hag because she can chew through careless teams who can't bear to leave anyone on a hook for 5 seconds. But genuinely people will just suicide most of the time if you get them in the basement or DC because outside of very good players in swf, it's game over. This got not only boring but I couldn't get the emblems from chase high enough for her to pip up consistently at below rank 5 (plus people killing themselves robbed me of the hooks). So I just learned nurse, got gud. Got rank one for the achievement on Steam and only play jingle Dwight now. (Less stressful).

I've noticed an influx of Hag players too! As a solo queue player, I hate it. I know right away what the match is going to be like, so I instantly become bored. A lot of survivors will just suicide on the hook and I can't really blame them.
0 -
I complain so much about Hag yet I've not suicided on hook yet which I find quite surprising lol
Had 3 in a row the other night which is extremely crap. One good, one bad and one average. So all games were just boring lol
