Does The Shape need a buff?
It seems to me that what he does, other killers seem to do better. Ghostface is better at stealth and one-shot hits. Oni and Twins seem to do the snowball a lot better.
It’s kinda sad, as he is the killer that got me into the game and is no longer as viable as before. His Tier 1 seems more like a Hindrance than it is helping him. His Tier 2 is decent. And his Tier 3 pretty good but a good looper can drop pallets early and prevent you from getting a hit within those 60 seconds. By the time you get to your Tier 3, at least 1-2 gens are done.
I really do think that small buffs to his numbers can make him a better killer. His Tier 1 should definitely be 110% movement speed. Make Judith’s Jornal basekit (increased stalking speed when stalking the obsession) and leave Tier 2 as is. I am not sure what to give Tier 3 but should definitely be something to make him more threatening and give him back the ability to trump detection perks when at Tier 1. (Not sure why that was ever removed)
Give Myers some buffs! He is so outclassed atm and shouldn’t be.

I agree, buff Daddy Myers
14 -
Yes, get rid of tier 1 (except for scratched mirror) and allow him to stalk survivors indefinitely and at a GF range.
13 -
I've been working on a write up of some suggestions for a rework, not necessarily a buff and plan on sending it off at some point.
1 -
Yes in my opinion he’s close to the worst. He pretty much has no way to shorten loops and has a terrible early game
11 -
He's not a bad killer, weaker one but not bad. Mainly outdated and outshined by newer killers.
I'd say yes buff him, he's a freaking Michael Myers god damit. I don't think that many survivors would even compain if he was buffed to freddy's power level as someone as iconic as he shouldn't be considered mediocre choice for a killer.
7 -
Yes! I forgot to mention that. Why is his stalking so limited.
4 -
The only problem I have with this is that Myers can potentially build up Infinite T3 or Infinite T3 + Judith's Tombstone against a single survivor and his power affects the whole team.
Myers shouldn't locked out of his power if drains all the living survivors, but there should be some reason he has to go find and stalk other survivors for those addons.
3 -
Well with his addon rework we dont know if tombstone and infinite ew3 will even still exist. If they do rework those (which i like infinite ew3) then he needs some good basekit buffs.
0 -
I'm pretty sure if he's reworked it'll be a nerf
4 -
I agree that you need a nerf, also have your information updated, instead of 6 meters of terror radius, 16 meters or Undetectable. I have also thought that at the moment of stalking, I would have the same GF ability to stalk faster while in cover.

A few minor buffs to EW1 and EW3 would be welcome. I've heard that he should get 110% move speed while in EW1 with no add-ons and I think that'd help quite a lot. Change scratched mirror to decrease your movement speed by 5% or something and it's be a good change.
I also want him to have increased kick speed and attack cooldown while in EW3. Nothing extraordinary just a small buff that makes tier 3 slightly more scary. I don't think he needs anything huge or a rework, it's fine that he's a very simple killer to play.
2 -
Well, to be fair, if Laurie has been nerfed into the ground so should Michael!!
Seriously, there's not enough Daddy Myers. Everyone thinks they need an unfair advantage with Freddy when Michael can easily get it done. He definitely needs no buffs for sure! His addons might be the best in the entire game, ability to actually kill a healthy survivor? Normally I would say that is completely overpowered but with Myers I make an exception :)
Anyone saying his tier 1 needs buffing, look his tier 3 please, a 1-shot with a gigantic reach! He needs a slower start to balance out his 1-shot! And Oni has a slow start too for a reason.
7 -
Why is it okay for Myers to have really strong add-ons but not other killers?
0 -
You make a good point. Tombstone piece balances out a lot of his weaknesses.
1 -
A change I'd like is for Tier 1 to be gotten rid of in his basekit, but keep it with the Scratch Mirror add on since everyone loves playing Spoopy Myers. He's outdated as everyone knows and needs to be addressed at some point, but he's not to high on the list right now. Probably won't be getting a buff until another year depending on how long these changes take for Demo, Huntress, and Freddy.

I asked about giving him any buffs or updates in the Q&A stream before Christmas. The answer they gave was they looked at his stats in terms of pick rates and kill rates at both red ranks and across all ranks. In both of them Mikey is in the top half of killers in terms of performance.
So they feel he's in a good spot. Here is the video if anyone cares to see;
2 -
I think he should be able to stalk healthy survivors indefinitely while unable to stalk injured Survivors.

Garbage killer, overpowered add-ons. That's how I see him. Any buffs made to him need to keep his add-ons in mind. Like when they made Wraith faster, they made his windstorms weaker, and that's how they should do it with Myers.
1 -
Imagine. Tombstone piece built in basekit. Yikes.
0 -
they should make it so he can vault pallets in tier 3
0 -
I really like the idea to make him do everything faster in t3. Vaulting, breaking gens and pallets, picking up and hooking survivors. (Combining this with Fire Up! would be fun lol) I'd say no to the shortened attack cool down though because if you miss with the extended lunge then it should hurt you a little. Maybe just if you don't lunge.

Ive been playing Myers a lot lately and have been having a lot of fun (Rank 14). I enjoy Scratched Mirror Myers a lot, but play regular Myers.ybissues with him are the following;
-Tier 1 is hard if not running SM. Hes slow and is so reliant on Corrupt Intervention so get the snowball going. Im okay with the speed, but if I could have a Killer Instinct type of power to find survivors within 24m as a base kit. Doesn't have to be Victor-esque, it could be a noise notification, or even something as simple as Whispers as base kit. I feel that's one of the biggest hindrances to Myers. If you're unable to find survivors fast enough at Tier 1, you will get gen rushed.
-Tier 3 should have faster overall actions (vaulting, gens, pick up,etc.)
My only wish list would be map offerings shouldn't be one killer specific, or we could buy then with BP outside of bloodweb. If I unlock 5 Lery's on Hillbilly, but I would like to use those for 5 Lerys matches on Myers. Or even a daily map offer (rotating maps, limit of 3 can be exchanged). Almost Splatoon-esque where they rotate maps every 2 hours, but in this case the shop rotates every so often.
If I enjoy Scratched Mirror, which is best played on handful of maps, but due to the RNG of bloodweb, I may have to go do 2-3 regular matches just to get the match I want.

Myers is a good example of a powercreeped Killer. When I started playing, people rated him as low A-Tier or high B-Tier. Now he makes the C-Tier most of the time, when I see Tier Lists. Also Myers is one of the rarest Killers I encounter, he was pretty common when I started playing.
He needs an Add On-Rework (stuff like Tombstone Piece or unlimited EW3 needs to go, other stuff like Movement Speed increase while stalking or Vanity Mirror need to be reworked to be actually useful), and also some Buffs to his Basekit. Either remove his Tier 1 completely (with Scratched Mirror giving him Undetectable, shorter Lunge and 4,2m/s movement Speed) or make it easier to get out of it. Passive build-up would be an option, like Oni, but much shorter.
His Tier 3 can get some love as well, but I dont know what exactly to do. Something like faster Palletbreaking would be an idea, but I think the Devs are quite cautious with stuff like that, maybe it can become too fast when adding Brutal Strength and Fire-Up into the mix.

But addons shouldnt be needed to balance anything out.
Addons should just be a extra that changes the gameplay a bit, no killer should ever be addpn dependent.
0 -
He is one of the best killers in lore but he is so weak in game. He really need buff
1 -
Shirtless myers is the buff we need
0 -
He is the killer most dependant on addons which isn't necessarily good or bad but it is unique to him. I think he could use a slight buff with improving tier 1 some and increase his feeding rate slightly but other than that he is fine. I wish more killers had addons like him since his change his gameplay a lot while most other killers still play about the same regardless of addons
0 -
Myers is certainly not the most addon dependent killer in the game. That's trapper.
1 -
Only that its easier to get put of t1
0 -
I guess I mean that he is the most dependent in that it changes how he plays the most while people like Trapper need specific addons to be worth using. So not dependent on effectiveness but more as in gameplay changing

Honestly, I've been playing Myers quite a lot recently. He is quite a bit better than most people give him credit for.
Something to keep in mind... Tier 1 Myers is the only Killer in the game who can do everything killers normally do while keeping Undetectable active, making him the stealthiest stealth killer. Tier 2 Myers is the only 115% killer in the game with less than a 32m Terror Radius, and if built for it can reduce it to a ridiculously low 4m. Tier 3 Myers does the whole surprise insta downs better than anyone else because he can't get revealed like Ghost Face and barely has an activation time unlike Oni. Myer's real upside though is that he essentially has 3 powers. I realize most people don't see it that way... especially when it comes to Tier 1, but that's the main way he's better. Oni can snowball and slug better than Myers, but Oni is almost the opposite of stealth. Ghost Face doesn't have a good backup plan if Stealth stops working, but Myers Tier 3 can still do work if he can't get value out of Tier 1 or 2.
At the most, he could use an indirect buff by nerfing Spine Chill to have a range equal to the Killer's current TR + 4m or 12m whichever is higher. I've always kinda thought it was dumb how good Spine Chill is against stealth killers.

I personally think his tombstone add-ons will still exist because of his Evil Incarnate achievement which is to Mori all survivor's with one of his tombstone add-ons
0 -
Mikey is definitely not an add on dependant killer. He is perfectly viable in red ranks without them. I speak from personal experience. I made myself get good with him without using add ons. I think its the best way to master a killer.
A lot of Mikey players do the same. You ever watch Stalky Boi? Red rank Myers main. Never uses add ons. He has a ton of content on Youtube. I highly recommend him if you want to see what I'm talking about.

I clarified later on what I meant but essentially not dependent on how viable he is but dependent by that his addons can drastically change how you play which is great
0 -
I main Myers in rank1 and he is fine, I can beat SWFs and if they beat me I always feel it was either my skill or the map, what really needs a rework is certain maps where non mobility Killers struggle a lot like Mother's Dwelling. The only change he needs is the Tier1 reveal aura stalk addon, which is pretty much useless since once out of EW1 you cant use it anymore.
I find the new "Myers needs buffs" mindset very weird, I started playing this game when Clown got out and he was tiered as A Killer, the only changes he got since then was the removal of stalking in EW3 (a nerf) and the Undetectable effect at EW1 (a big buff), take on account a lot of Survivors nerfs have come around like removal of infinites, certain maps made easier to play as M1 Killer, some perks that synergize very well with him, Survivor joint gen speed nerf, toolboxes nerfs, medkits nerfs etc and now suddenly he is Tier C and considered the worst contending with Clown, what happened? it cant be the new Survivor perks because the last meta one is from David King and it cant be power creep because Survivors are the exact same as they were or even weaker, at least he should maintain his Tier A but people send him to the lower tiers for some weird reason.
Are people getting worse at the game or the new, easier to play Killers have made them indolent?.
1 -
Back in the day he was a really good killer but now he just feels really outdated in all honesty. Especially with how many anti-stealth perks there are now.
0 -
I'm pretty sure the mind set is coming from comparing him to newer Killers.
Myers has been in the game since chapter 2. Clown was chapter 8. Meanwhile, the killers most likely to get compared to Myers are Ghost Face and Oni who were chapter 12 and 14 respectively. For a good long time, Myers was the only Killer who could potentially carve his way through the entire team with insta downs. That aspect of him isn't unique anymore.
In my opinion, Myers still has some incredibly good strengths, they're just harder to see now than in the past.
1 -
give him built in brutal strenght when hes at t3, increase t3 fov, make it so you can stalk a survivor for 3 tiers, make it so when hes in t2 he can use a button to remove his terror radius at the cost of decreasing his movement speed by 50% (you can toggle it without a cooldown), muffle his breathing
0 -
I think that the stalk points of a survivor should be increased slightly. What inevitably happens is that one survivor always ends up being your stalk point loans officer, and that's the one who can loop, so instead of going for hits, you stalk them. But then, when you find the survivors who can't loop, you tier up on them and kill them, before you can fully drain them of their stalk reservoir. I feel like, when survivors are sacrificed, any stalk points they had left should be redistributed evenly amongst all remaining survivors. Imagine what would happen if plague only had a certain amount of vomit she could use, or if oni had a set amount of blood that would be dropped and nothing after that. It's just a terrible economic situation.
Indefinite stalk points might be overdoing it, though. That would probably have to coincide with an increase to the required amount of stalking.
