Is Ghost face ever going to get fixed?
I'm not saying ghost face is OP or something. However, I often find myself staring at his face and not "revealing" him. What is going on? Just watch this video to see how bad it can get.

Yup number 1 issue with him. His reveal mechanic is very very janky. The Devs won't acknowledge it's a problem because they don't care. I had a game where I was literally breathing down his neck as he was stalking my friend... I mean I was so close to him I could've just taken the knife out of his hand.

It's a little bit weird. You have to be looking at a large part of his body for it to work. From my experience, looking at his face or a part of him sticking out from behind a wall doesn't work.

It's a very difficult mechanic to address. See, just seeing him won't do, because you can just spin your camera around until you get the sound cue. But otherwise, there's no way to know if a survivor actually knows he's there.
So, they made it so that you have to have a certain percentage of his hitbox within a percent of the center of your screen. This is somewhat better, since you need to deliberately zoom in on him, but the issue comes with the fact that 1) hitboxes are somewhat bigger than character models; just as huntress and 2) the survivor character model blocks ghost face's hitbox. If he's right behind you and you know he's there, but your character model is in the way, it won't register.

Someone theorized earlier today on an earier thread, they think only one survivor can activate the reveal at a time. If that is true, then the other survivor might of been the one revealing him.

you have to aim the center of your camera to reveal him, not just have your character stare at him

I've had games where I've seen him stared at him, not broken him and then got hit, looped him, got hooked and then revealed him on the hook without actually being able to see him. Unbelievably inconsistent.

You're trying to look at him, it's natural I do it all the time too as its intuitive but for some reason the game doesn't count it. You're looking downwards at an angle, you need to aim your camera much higher. It feels weird but it works much better. He can still be quite wonky at times though.

I think a lot of people block their view with their character model; when you're hooked, the camera is a bit higher. But, I agree it is inconsistent. He used to get revealed so easily, so I like it better this way. But I do main killer, so...

Its honestly crazy, even playing as him I have gotten revealed behind walls, and then as a survivor I can't reveal him when he is standing right in front of me.

it is really annoying. like by the time i get to adjust my camera to be able to reveal him i get exposed. not to mention that the revealing process gets cancelled 30% of the time which cucks me.

This would actually make a lot of sense.. Play as Ghostface I've never had the reveal indicator point in in 2 different directions at once, even though I know multiple people are looking at me. It only ever shows 1 direction

It shouldn't work like that then. The revealing should stack when multiple survivors are looking at him. Just like flashlight blinds.

But the survivor is in the center of the camera.

the trigger for it is pretty tiny, you need to aim the very center of your camera for it to work

That video is a great exemple of what not to do. You just need to orient your camera so that Ghostface his at the center of you screen, with most of his body visible. At no point during that video was that Ghostface ever properly centered. He was either too high or on a side.
Just tilt your view angle a bit, its really not that hard and you know you are doing it right because of the audo cue.
The reveal mechanic work, you just have to learn how to do it properly.

I still don't know why it's so darn specific. The entire body of Ghost Face being on my screen should be enough.

If his reveal mechanic actually worked as intended I would probably enjoy facing him. As it is he's one of my least favorite killers to go against because of the broken reveal. Fortunately I don't seem him much these days.

Center of your screen not ur character

Thank You

When he was released on the PTB his reveal zone was larger and it only took 1 second. He was basicly unplayble, being constantly revealed by survivors who hadn't even noticed him yet.
Its really not hard to reveal him now. You just have to aim your camera at the right place for 1.5 seconds.

He can expose you in less than that amount of time due to busted stalking add-ons. And still, it's not as simple or consistent as y'all say.

Meanwhile when I play as him I'm constantly getting revealed

Well, if he is using the "Ghostface caught on tape" ultra rare add-on, he can stalk somebody in 1.5 seconds if he is leaning. Wich is the same time as it take to reveal him and thats the fastest stalk possible as his other stalking add-on only apply to stalking while not leaning.
When Ghostface seem to instantly stalk you, its more likely that he stalked partially before and left you alone. So keep that in mind when you see that Ghostie appear to give up on you. Try to force him to hit you normaly right after he's been revealed to reset the stalk bar.
And lastly, yes the reveal mechanic is extremely consistent and easy. If you can aim with you mouse or stick you can do it 100% of the time provided that enough of Ghostface is visible. The only counter intuitive thing about it is that your own survivor model can block the detection. What is not consistant is the Killer Instinct notification that Ghostface is supposed to get when somebody reveal him. Sometimes you don't get it at all.
If you can learn to do 360°, chainsaw flicks, or whatever tech is popular theses days, you can learn how to reveal Ghostface. There is not trick to it. Just aim at the right spot.

But I saw him. That's my point of this reveal mechanic making no sense.

This may be the bug, but it doesn't seem to be intentional, at least it's not consistent.
I've played GF and been revealed by multiple people at once, with the directional indicators going off on multiple parts of the screen.

If he was just 'somewhere' on your screen, you'd never be able to see him without revealing him. That would put you at a huge disadvantage as you couldn't see him without him seeing you.

If you could reveal Ghostface just by seeing him he would simply be unplayable, like on his orginal PTB version. The reveal mechanic is not just to "look at him", you have to aim properly, but its really easy once you understand it.
Now, if you want to make the argument that Ghostface's reveal mechanic is poorly explained in game and that lead you to believe that all you needed to do was to look at him then I'm with you. There are many things in this game that are poorly explained or counter-intuitive. This aspect of the game could certainly be improved.
If you just wish it worked differently, then I can't help you.

I've done both of those and I still got exposed.
